First visit to BCV also. SS and AKL are home resorts. Cannot wait to experience Stormalong Bay and walk to EPCOT! Any tips?

You will LOVE the pool at BCV! The lazy river and Stormalong Bay is awesome but may be a little too much for the young ones, as is the little sand beach. Parents and kids build sand castles and all. Shade is a premium, wear 50+ at all times. There is a little snack bar there also(at least 2 years ago there was). We purchased noodles to float on. I am not sure but I think little ones need to have life vests?? (provided)?? Epcot is a very short (10 min) walk. But mind that it is the side entrance to the area near Canada and France??? We are empty nesters, so no kids. Next time we will bring our grand babies. (9,6,5). So my best tips are: Go early and be well fed and hydrated, no matter where you go. Carry snacks (including salty) and bevs, stay away from soda and too much juice. If you are at EPCOT, leave mid day to swim or nap and then go back, same with most of the parks. Can't wait to meet your family! GCV in CA is our home resort, this is our second DC and our first DVC Member cruise.
As for the cruise, wow: we have sailed the wonder in the past and this will be our first time on the dream and is our 5th cruise. So I should leave advise to the seasoned cruisers as to how to cruise with kidlets. Our obervations on the wonder were: Some parents liked the Oceaneers and very few did not. We were oservers (we had permission) planning for our grandkids to come some day. We interviewed kids in the clubs and asked them how they were enjoying their adventure. we spent about 1/2 hour observing all ages. They all seemed to enjoy their time, very few were lost and needed shepherding from the staff. The security system was awesome then and would anticipate the same. It's DCL so it should be great! Any way I will leave the advise to others who know better! Have fun! Relax.. it will be overwhelming to the younsters and you at first! Since you have DDs I trust that you will outfit them with Princess atire? THEY WILL LOVE THIS ADVENTURE! Plenty of Character greet opportunities!

Hi again Cindy-
Thanks for all the info. We will definitely head to EPCOT early - we have 8:30 res at Askeherus with the Princesses! Great to know it takes about 10 minutes to walk from BCV. Also good idea to head back mid day. We have always gone in winter so this will he our first trip with real heat. We also made reservations Sat morning for Cape May in AM in case you guys are around.

As for cruise, I guess every kid experiences the clubs their own way. We will definitely share our views to add to your resources for the grand kids. What lucky kids they are to have you guys to take them to Disney!!

The FE sounds fun. A little too much to plan for our first outing - but we will be watching all of you for next time

IN THE PAST THE GROUPS HAVE ARRANGED TO MEET SOMEWHERE AT 3pm. ON THE WONDER WE MET AT THE PIANO BAR LOUNGE. LAST YEAR WE MET AT THE LOUNGE AT THE ENTRANCE TO PINK. IT IS THE LOUNGE THATS HAS THE DUET. CANT REMEMBER THE NAME. TWICE WE MET IN DIVERSIONS. THE DOORS ARE USUALLY OPEN. IF WE DONT MEET IN A ROOM LAURA AND I WILL BE UP BY THE ENTRANCE TO AQUADUCK AT 4:45 OVERLOOKING THE POOL AND STAGE AREA BELOW WAITING FOR THE SAILAWAY PARTY. IF ANYONE WANTS TO MEET US THERE OR HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS WHEN AND WHERE TO MEET. THERE IS A BAR AREA ON THE VERY TOP DECK ABOVE THE ADULT POOL CALLED CURRENTS WE COULD MEET THERE.

My hubby came home with 4 Michael's bags and opened some boxes that came in this week. He's working on the men and women's gifts b/c he has the craft gene in the fam.
