OH how I would love to go to WDW for the holidays! I obsess about three things, Christmas, Disney, and being early everywhere I go. The last one has nothing to do with anything, I just thought I'd throw it in there to make myself seem a little less crazy! :earboy2: I hope everyone has a great week!

Well we never made it to Disney this weekend so I can't really give any details about the Christmas festivities. I do plan to go one of these nights so I'll definitely be getting back to you guys on it. It would be nice to go tonight since we are supposed to be 80 degrees today. That would make tonight a little nicer out there. We went to Celebration yesterday. My husband and boys fished and my daughter and I walked around the town. Are ya'll familar with Celebration? It is a small town next to Disney which was actually designed by Disney. Really cute!

Yes, we drove through there on one of our earlier trips. We loved it! I hate heat, though, so living in Florida would not be an ideal situation for me... :teeth:

Disney has since sold the town, haven't they? If so, do they maintain some type of control? It seems to me that many people still believe that it is "Disney", and therefore, Disney would be concerned about the image. ::MickeyMo

Ok, Who left their freezer door open. It's -1 deg F here :cold: and Florida is looking like a nice place to live right now. :sunny:

Florida is looking better every day. I can't believe that you guys are having temperatures in the eighties. We haven't been above 35 degrees in about four days. We are expecting 1 to 3 inches of snow tomorrow. I am dreaming of September 16, 2006.

I wondered what happened-- we stopped getting email messages from the thread. I was starting to get really paranoid-- like we got kicked off the cruise or something...

I'm glad to see everyone's getting along in this cold weather. We had snow again here in Philadelphia, and snow before Christmas is kind of rare (in my memory anyway). I'm really ready to move somewhere warm.

Ugh..is it time yet??? My mom and sis are going on the wonder in January adn I am soooooooo jealous that I have to wait until September, 06. Help!!!! lol

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers! :sunny:

The sunshine is actually just me dreaming. The snow we expected missed us, but it is so cold here. This morning, we woke up to 17 degrees. Why did I choose a cruise that was so far away????????

Tracy when are they going? I will be on the 01/22 sailing of the Wonder! I am soooooooooo ready!

It will be here before we know it! Just think, I booked this one almost exactly 2 years prior to the sailing!ANd know we are done to 9 months!

I just posted a new thread about this but since this is the date I am planning to go I thought I'd ask...

I have a ressie on hold with an onboard credit of $200 but they said the 10% disct does not apply to this special cruise date. Anyone was able to get the disct? Also, I am booking a cat 12 but see that cat 10 is only $200 more, are there any other SPH available?

How do I get my Castaway Club ID#?

Amanda, Dana did call me back. I called my own travel agent as well. My own travel agent quoted me the same as Disney but with a $100.00 onboard credit. Dana quoted me at $155.00 less than disney. Does anyone know anything about pirate night?

Who is Dana? I want to get a quote too!!

I was just on the 11/26 majic cruise and I booked onboard for this cruise and did receive the onboard credit as well as the 10% discount. I also had them send the ressie back to my trave agent I used before (dreamsunlimitedtravel) and dreams gave me a $200 instant credit on top of the discount and the onbaord credit. Maybe see if disney cruise will send your ressie to dreamsunlimited, save the $200 and upgrade to the cat 10. :earsboy:

My husband and I will be joining you. Our youngest is starting college next August. We thought this will be a good way to start the empty nest. We have never been on vacation with out the kids. So this should be interesting. This will be our third Disney cruise. We did Royal Car. last summer. that was also very nice. They kids enjoyed that too.

Can't wait to chat with some of you.

Have a Merry Christmas.

I called DCL and figured out what happened. I lost the 10% disct b/c the ressie was cancelled due to non-deposit. I went to LA for business and forgot to give the deposit. They are keeping my credit though but I am still bummed! :guilty:

So how does the transfer work? Should I get a quote from dreamsunlimited first?

Did you need your Castaway Club ID #? It is asking for this number on the quote form and I have no idea where to get it from...

I would keep your quote from disney because you still get you onboard credit, but tell them you forgot you wanted the ressie sent to "dreams unlimited travel," they may ask for an agent's name but tell them you don't remeber who it was. When "dreams" get your ressie in their system you will get an email from them showing you how to access your reservation through their system and that is where you will see your "dream unlimited" $200 instant credit. If you don't get an email from them in a few days after telling disney to send your ressie to them, call dreams (they are the sponsor of this thread and you can access their website from the DIS cruise meets home page), because they have been having problems with disney sending them people's ressie's in a timely matter. Any more questions you can pm me and I will help out the best I can.

Sounds too good to be true. I'll definitely try it! Thanks for the great tip and saving. :cheer2: Will I still be able to access my ressie through the SCL website? I want to make all my event bookings ahead. :confused3

I have an excursion suggestion for all. Last summer went went to Cozmel with RCCL. We were a group of 12. From 9 years to 84. We went on a snuba excursion. All except the 84 & 65 year olds. It was a blast. It is a combination of scuba & snorkeling. You are attached to an air tank by a 20-30 foot hose. So we were on the bottom but our tanks were on the sufface. We have a few in our party that were not crazy about the water. Even they had a great time. All of us would do it again any time. It is a way to dive with out being certified.
