Hi all.
Just booked for the sept 16th 06 magic cruise and I'm so excited.
There will be myself and my husband, we are from the U.K. and it will be our second cruise (we did the 4 night woder in sept 05). We are in room 6628.

We both loved cruising and within 1 hour of being on the Wonder we looked at each other and said "we ARE doing this again next year".
I can hardly wait to go. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Samantha (Sam)

Hi Sam! Welcome aboard with us nuts! We like to have fun around here! When did you sail in September??? We sailed 09/18/05 on the Wonder..maybe we ave been shipmates before and just not known it??? :teeth:

Welcome Sam,
I know what you mean about loving it. This will be our eighth cruise all on the Magic. I beginning to think of it as my third home as OKW is our second home (we are DVC members.)
This is the gift we give each other for Christmas. Our kids are growing so quickly that vacation is very precious to us, so we do WDW in the summer and then we cruise in the fall.
Somehow I can always get off the ship knowing that I will be back, otherwise I think I would have to be dragged off :rotfl2:
I hate to wish the time away, but I am looking forward to September
:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

I think I wrote the above post....haha this will also be my 8th cruise....and the only way I can get off the ship is to know that I have another booked! Otherwords I would hand cuff myself to the railing! LOL :rotfl:

There's a light? The only light I see is the monitor :badpc: . I am livin for this cruise!!!!! I have been looking at the Princess Alaskan cruise we are taking in June and we are going bare bones to save it all for Disney! Not that is a challenge. The room is the lowest cat. at $2500 for 130 sf  . Talk about little. I just know I will be campairing it to DCL the ENTIRE time :earboy2: !

I hope everyone is doing well and here's a big WELCOME to all our new cruisers!

Hi Amanda,
We sailed on the 25th Sept on the Wonder so we missed each other :sad2:

Gail have no worries, you will be able to request a different table or seating if you and your tablemates do not hit it off. BUT if you make some really good friends on our thread here, then we can link our dinner ressies together and you will not have to worry about it. I, however, am scheduled for late seating. We prefer it that way.

How does this work? Do you mean that we can request who we want to be at our table?

Hello everyone! I haven't posted all week. It has been a busy week at work, and the local high school basketball team that I follow (I have an unofficially adopted son playing) had it's big Patriot Madness last night. That is a huge fund raiser that is more like a community wide event. We had a BBQ Ribs and Chicken Dinner from 5:00 to 7:00, festivaL type games for the kids from 7:00 to 8:00 and then from 9:00 to Midnight, we had the athlete presentations. All local schools are invited to participate in a recognition ceremony. Each boys and girls basketball team and cheerleading squad comes to the high school gym, and are allowed to go out on the floor where each individual child is recognized. Then the high school boys and girls basketball players are presented for the first time. I am a member of the posters club and this year we went all out. We had spot lights and fog machines. For each player we made a thirty second clip of high lights from some of last years games and had it playing on a huge screen in the gym when the player ran out on the floor. It was really nice. But it was also a lot of work to put together. We worked on it all week.

Bad news!! DD lost her game this weekend and it put them out of the tournament. Her basketball season is over.

I hope everyone else is having a good weekend!

One more thing. I read the reply from the person who had cruised and the numbering system was based on first come, first serve. Has anyone else heard anything about this. Some of the cruisers on another post were talking about it also. I can't find the post again, but it seems that one guys said that he was one of the first there, but that people who arrived boarded before him. Is it possible that it is something they are experimenting with, and they do it differently at times, or maybe the people who boarded before him actually were there first.

You can link your reservation with any other cruiser and request to be put on the same dining rotation and the same table. We are doing that for our 05/27 cruise. A bunch of us are linking a ressies so we will be in the same rotation and sitting near each other or at the same table.

I am thinking the same thing. My boss is really into scrapbooking. So needless to say I started getting some stuff to make a book of our last cruise. Looking through all the Navigators and maps of the parks is really making me long to be in WDW then off to the port!

We went to disney yesterday. My olders sons just moved to Florida with me about three weeks ago. We did the highlights of the parks so to speak. We went to MGM first, then to Animal Kingdom and then to Magic Kingdom. We watched wishes last night at around 9ish and by the time we got a bus back to MGM to get our car, it was 11:00 p.m. Needless to say, we are all exhausted today! I too am looking forward to the cruise. I am a little disneyed out lately.

Well, I don't think that I'm one of the top ten posters anymore... :rolleyes1

My husband now has an "official" date for starting his new job in Virginia: December 12th. Happy Freakin' Christmas. :sad1: We've been down to Virginia twice, and we have finally found him an apartment that we won't have to sell body parts to afford. Man! Talk about high cost of living! Coming from Metro Detroit, the prices are radically different. At this point, I don't see how we'll manage to live together for quite some time. We can't rent with the cats, and houses, on average, appear to be a cool half mil. This whole thing is actually making me physically ill.

And I'm not sure that I can be on a ship with people that don't like cats... :sad2:

Hello to Williamston, MI!!! :wave2: My husband used to be an ordinance officer in Dearborn. Did you guys win the DCL online contest? I was scrolling through the names just the other day and noticed Williamston, MI.

Yay!, DVC!!! :cheer2: Goofy's Girl and Tiggery, we all have something in common.

Speaking of DVC... We are seriously considering dropping the Double Dip, and signing up for the Member's Cruise instead. :duck: We haven't made any final decisions as of yet. I think that I'm leaning towards the Double Dip, but I believe that my husband is leaning towards the Member's Cruise. I am very confused.

I was horrified to read the posts concerning death, SERIOUS illness, and auto accidents! I sincerely hope that everyone is on the mend, physically and emotionally. I'll stop my whining about my problems now...

Another long post. I may not post very frequently, but I make up in quality where I lack in quantity. At least that's the story I'm stickin' with. ::yes::

Hope everyone is well!!!

Karen :cat:
(Don't like cats. Grrrrrr. :rotfl: )

I got the top again! Whoo Hoo!!! and with another pathetic post, no less. :cool1:

Forgot to mention another sad by-product of my husband's new job: No more anniversary trip to WDW. He'll be in an academy for three months. We may not even see each other on our 11th anniversary. <Sigh> :worried:

Karen :cat:

Hi all,
Busy Busy week at work so havent been on line much.
Very spooky that we almost sailed together Amanda we must have the same taste
Bummed to hear about the potential closure of the Adventurers Club in PI. All my favourites are getting changed or closed. Looks like ill be spending more time cruising and less time at WDW. It'll be a hardship but I'm sure I'll cope. :rolleyes1

Hi Everyone,
Just checking in to make sure we are all still accounted for. We are busy planning for DD's second semester of college. She will be finishing up at the Community College and looking to transfer to a 4 year school.
I could sure use a Dis fix right about now, we thought of trying to get to WDW right after Xmas, but I can not find a flight. Maybe if I go into the first week in Jan, but then I am pulling the kids out of school again and I almost got shot doing it for the cruise we took in September.
Hope everyone is well and have a great day

Hello everyone!

I have tried twice to post and something goes wrong. If this works, I just wanted to check in and see if everyone has had a good weekend.
