Good Morning!!! :sunny:

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend planned. My DD has games again today and tomorrow. This is the last weekend except for tournament, which I believe will be put off until December because the local high school has our gym reserved every weekend in November for various fund raising activities. But before we leave, I am attending an auction. The house next door and all of it's content is being sold at an estate auction today. My ex-husband is bidding on it. Since the lady who lived there died, her children have rented the place to a family who hasn't gotten along with anyone in the neighborhood. We are praying for good neighbors, keep your fingers crossed for us.

Hello fellow cruisers,
Just finished up an awful weekend at work-crazy crazy! plus the fact that due to DST it was a 13 hour shift! Lost a 34 year old mom of two, a 52 year old man and a 47 year old female. Hug your loved ones! Off to bed to dream of better days ahead! Hope everyone is doing well!

Hello Everyone!!!

The time changed, but someone forgot to tell my DD. She is normally up at 6:30. This morning is was 5:30. So much for an extra hour of sleep.

I have spent a lot of time reading other posts this weekend just to see what everyone had to say. I found a post about the sitting arrangement on the ships. Some of the people were talking about how much they hate sharing their table with strangers. One even said that they sat through and entire meal and did not speak to any of the other table mates. I was shocked! My DD and I are cruising alone. I know for a fact that we will be seated with at least one other family. I am scared to death that I will get stuck with one of those horrible poeple not only don't want to get to know us, but actually will refuse to even speak to us. I image getting placed at a table for four with another couple of cruisers and the four of us sitting there miserable.

Please tell me that I can asked to be moved if this happens. We want table mates. We want to get to meet new people and maybe make some new friends. What we don't want is to let some horrible snob ruin every dinner for us.

Gail-
We were worried about this on our no-kids RCCL cruise this summer. We really lucked out with the family of four we sat with-- parents, adult son and his wife. They were very nice.

If you get stuck with stinkers, maybe we can trade you and your daughter for my in-laws! :rotfl2: (just kidding of course)

:rotfl2: Sounds like a plan!!!

I thought of another question. On one of the other threads, somesone said that Topsiders now offers the same menu every night that the three main dinning rooms offer. I thought that it was a separate restuarant with it's own menu. Has this changed?

Oh, you did have a rough one. Bless you!!!! I hope your day tomorrow goes better.

Sorry about posting so much. I have basically been on line all day. I was reading a thread being posted by someone who is actually on the Magic right now. He says that the boarding procedure has changed. You no longer show, register and get in line to board. He says everyone is given a number placing them in a group and they can not board until their number is called. If I read the thread correctly, your number does not reflect how you arrived. It will be possible to be one of the first to arrive and one of the last to board. Does anyone have any information about this. It just doesn't seem right.

How would that effect Castaway Club Members?

Gail have no worries, you will be able to request a different table or seating if you and your tablemates do not hit it off. BUT if you make some really good friends on our thread here, then we can link our dinner ressies together and you will not have to worry about it. I, however, am scheduled for late seating. We prefer it that way.

We don't know exactly-she was in the bathroom at home-family heard a thump and she was on the floor in cardiac arrest. we are guessing either drug related cardiac arrest or brain bleed. although she had a distended belly-could also be internal. that is the unfortunate part-we really don't get any closure with some of our deaths-they are off to the coroner or mortuary, if no autopsy needed and unless we look in the newspaper we don't ever know the COD. The next day was better though-thanks!
So how does this number thing work for boarding now?

Sorry to be butting in (we are considering booking for this cruise because our Daughter had such a blast at Castaway Cay on our cruise [Oct.15-22] and two visits there would probably thrill her beyond belief) but they did that number thing on our cruise.

The way it worked when we did it was that you went through security, and as you got ready to head up the escalator, you were handed a number. #1 was reserved for Concierge guests, but the other numbers were given out in limited quantities as you arrived. They did give out all the #2s before moving on to #3, etc.....Then, you checked in as normal and could sit anywhere in the lobby until your number was called. There were not a ton of people in each group, so it did keep it less hectic. It was also given away on a first come, first served type of system, so people who came later would be in later groups.

We liked this new arrangement because in the past, we've had to lock ourselves in line and someone always had to be with our stuff to hold our place in line. This gave us more of an ability to wander around the lobby together and no one had to stay behind.

The biggest PROBLEM that we saw was that people with higher numbers tended to block the entry to the line to get on the ship, so when your number was called, you had to fight your way through people just hanging around waiting for their own number.

I hope that made sense and helped!

Now to just officially convince my husband that he wants to take this cruise.......:)

Hi all.
Just booked for the sept 16th 06 magic cruise and I'm so excited.
There will be myself and my husband, we are from the U.K. and it will be our second cruise (we did the 4 night woder in sept 05). We are in room 6628.

We both loved cruising and within 1 hour of being on the Wonder we looked at each other and said "we ARE doing this again next year".
I can hardly wait to go. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Samantha (Sam)

Welcome Sam,
I know what you mean about loving it. This will be our eighth cruise all on the Magic. I beginning to think of it as my third home as OKW is our second home (we are DVC members.)
This is the gift we give each other for Christmas. Our kids are growing so quickly that vacation is very precious to us, so we do WDW in the summer and then we cruise in the fall.
Somehow I can always get off the ship knowing that I will be back, otherwise I think I would have to be dragged off :rotfl2:
I hate to wish the time away, but I am looking forward to September
:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:
