Arrgh?!?!?

Now I'm starting to feel a bit "low" on the food chain. I'm asking my spouse and she tells me we've been married 12 years (since '94)... and now I'm going to BOOK-MARK this posting! Ah - HA! Now I'll know for-ever how long I've been married... or at least until my computer fails or HD crashes!

<chuckles>

I gotta go... the Crown Plaza here by Disneyland is quite nice however - they are doing plumbing work tonight and shutting off all the water at midnite - in 5 minutes - and my dear loving spouse has drawn a hot tub for me - only the tb leaks so my water will not stay for long.

Cheers! :surfweb:

Now to bookmark this posting... <chuckles>:lmao:

Hi everyone!

Steve and I will be joining you on this cruise. We were on the 11 day with Tigger&Bubba and CaptainCrash and family. (Hi guys! Looking forward to seeing you again!)

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Denise

Thanks again!

Welcome, I'm glad you are joining our group. Sorry for the delay. We have been out of town.

We have the beginning of some neat activities planned. Looking forward to meeting a bunch of really neat people who also love Disney as much as Janet and I do. Lois

Hello again!

Nice to have ya back around. It's been sort of quiet over the holidays. It seems as if everything has slowed down since - with folks probably scrambling to catch up on all the stuff that was put off through Christmas and New Years. For my family it was not until yesterday that I had a "normal" day. And even so - my spouse has left town for a nite - leaving me with extra work looking after the kids over nite. Alas, as I told her this morning ... it's not as tough as it used to be when all the kids were younger. So - it's ok.

Tonight our dog comes home. He's been staying with my sister while we were out of town... and while it was convenient for her to enjoy our dogs' company.

Thursday we hook up with our cousins for a last visit to Disneyland before they go home Friday.

Cheers,

from CC...

Just checking in to say hello! How is everyone doing?? Things are ok here...glad to be done with the holidays. Now it is time to get focused on the cruise...LOL!:rotfl:
We are getting used to having the two kids now...what an adjustment! Seems like they are out to get us, on opposite sleeping schedules...just when one goes to sleep, the other wakes up!:confused3 It is a neverending cycle of parental sleep deprivation!:rotfl2: Figure we will get sleep in about 10 years or so! ;)
Here are some recent pics we had taken. Liam is getting so big and Ryan loves his new little brother! Hope you like them.

You're in for such a treat! It was just this morning our younger 3 Y.O. walked over after waking with her stuffed bear and flashed the most charming smile - I glanced at my spouse and quiped "is this just the sweetest little girl?".

Liam is a charmer!

OK... gotta go now...:thumbsup2

He is just beautiful. It has been so long since I have had an infant to care for. My baby turned 30 this past year. My youngest grandchild is 10 years old. Man that makes me feel old. Take it from me they grow up way too fast. Remember that alot of the busy work can wait because they will grow up with or without and they are just too important to miss. I can't wait to meet your babies. Till then. Lois

First of all... Great pic of the family! Very nice! And the baby is getting big!!!

I dont think I got a real nights sleep ever! Ya have babies and you don't sleep, they get older and have sleep overs, then they start dating!

It doesn't end there.... they get married and they have kids! And it starts all over again with grandkids!!! It's not bad... it's fun raising kids and being a grandparent! Real exciting!!!:upsidedow

For example: 27th of Dec. two of the older grand daughters decited to chop ice to rollerblade. While one chopped the other brushed away the ice..the younger one ended up with a almost aputated finger!
2nd of Jan. our oldest son(now35) called and let us know the he has a hole in his heart, surgery set for the 8 Jan. My thought was "He's 35... why didnt they find this YEARS ago!:scared1: And to top off the week... our 10 y.o DGS was hit by a car while he was walking in a vacatent lot! Everybody is fine! Olivia's (DGD)finger is healing well, Jayson(DS) is recovering nicely and looking better, and for Connor(DGS) is hurting... but walking!:woohoo:

So for everyone on the Dis... here's:grouphug: for all !

Sorry we have been gone so long, Megan hasn't been able to sign on and it is killing her not to be on here to post. Welcome to the newbies, can't wait to meet everyone. Steve and Kamy....maybe megan and i should just elope up there....haha. Don't know when we might be able to visit, but we do miss you guys. We are somewhat in full wedding planning, we will be going to visit reception sites soon, i have gotten pricing from a few places and pricing on cakes also, we just need to go taste. I guess once we get those picked out we can send out invitations and then get flowers, a photographer, a dj...the list goes on. I better only get married once, i don't know if i can afford another. But it will be well worth it to be married to the love of my life, even though i may not show it that often, i do love her, she says i am an emotional retard cause i am not all lovey dovey. Ok, just wanted to say hi...see you guys soon....ok megan is here, i will let her write some.

Hi all! No, I can't post and it's driving me insane. I contacted the administrators and they were able to reset me so I could log in...and then it promptly stopped working again. Darn it. I might have to get a new screename, but I really don't want to. Anyway, Patrick was right...we are in full wedding planning mode and I'm getting massively panicked. Every time someone brings up wedding issues I freak. It's 4 months from tomorrow and nothing is done but my dress. OMG. If we actually make it to the altar without someone keeling over or us killing each other, it will be a sign that we are definitely meant to be. I hope everyone is doing well. Steve and Kamy, I miss you guys! I'm sure the frozen north is colder than here...and it's freezing here! My love to everyone and hopefully I'll be back soon.

Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments. If I do say so myself, Liam is totally adorable!:goodvibes

Patrick and Megan- we would LOVE you guys to come visit!!! Flights are cheap, and it would not hurt to take a few days to relax.....I know, i am pushy! We just miss you guys.;) And you can elope here...there are some beautiful spots!:lmao:
Megan- just get another screenname...we need you here on the DIS!

Gotta run, kids are cryin'! ;)

It's sooo nice to have new ones in the house, eh? Aside from the crying, diapers and general sleeplessness... that is! <chuckles>

Before anyone thinks of scolding me... At least I didn't mention other unmentonable things - as in anything with a stink attached to it... or a leaky stink... <chuckles>

Seems to be another quiet weekend ... well, for chuckles - here are some pix from yesterdays' culinary shopping discovery!

We went into town to meet friends for brunch then went exploring in a part of twon we don't see too often. And a large supermarket had changed hands - and was having a grand opening. They called it the "169 Market" - it was CAVERNOUS and crawling with tons of shoppers. Among the many things we picked up - we selected a live 5.4 pound Maine lobster - which they cooked for us on the spot. This puppy is huge - about the size and volume of a loaf of bread! It took us an hour to get home and it was still HOT when we got there! The price seemed somewhat cheap for a live lobster of this size - I think it was only $6.28 a pound and ran $34 plus tax. Alicia and the kids attacked it last nite but I only got one tiny little taste... (Dads get overlooked 'round my house - IMHO) and tonight again it is getting attention for dinner. Check out these pix from yesterday...

What a bargain... eh?
well, maybe some of you lucky folks on the East coast see better deals since you're living so close to the "source"!!!
:confused3

Hi everyone! :wave2: My boyfriend and I will be on this cruise. We were originally booked for the September 1st Eastern but our travelmates have a wedding that weekend so we switched to this one.

Only 8 months from today! :woohoo:

Welcome aboard Jennifer to you and your SO.

It's always a pleasure to meet nice new folks on Disney!!!

Have either of you sailed much on Disney or otherwise? If so - where have you been (ports or routes). And is Lowell anywhere near Boston - Jamaica Plains or Roxbury? We have family who lives in one or the other - I get confused as to which community they're in now - but it is NOT across from a lake.

Wow - captaincrash, I say what a fantastic deal on that lobster!!!! I certainly don't see any prices like that here in the midwest. What a great time. :goodvibes

Jennifer48, so glad you and your BF will be on the same cruise. I think it is going to be fantastic. Welcome! :)

Thanks everyone! So glad to be here!

captaincrash, this will be both our second cruise, ever! Our first cruise was OF COURSE with DCL and we couldn't get enough. We sailed a 3 night back in April 2006 for my birthday and we fell in love with it. Now we are bringing along our newly married friends who are also members of the DIS and should be posting on here soon! I'm excited to be first time Castaway Club members :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Lowell is just north of Boston about 30-40 minutes. Its basically on the NH border. Very convenient to Boston, NH, VT and Maine! Jamaica Plain and Roxbury are the outskirts of the city of Boston.

Now I haven't read the full thread yet, any fun meets planned?

Hi to everyone, I haven't been on for a few days. We have been without power for a couple of days from a lovely ice storm. There is so much tree damage everywhere. We are going to have to cut two of our trees down. Both have major broken branches. They would just look ugly if we tried to keep them. See the pictures and be glad you don't have this weather right now. And if you do well I feel for you too.
