Hey everybody!

I've been so out of the loop for the past couple of weeks I just completely lost track of stuff (and my DIS account is out of whack, too!).

I called DVC yesterday and we're now booked at BC for both the day before and two days after the cruise! Yay! It's the only DVC resort I haven't stayed at and I think the location will be perfect for everything we want to do. Now to think about where to have dinner....

Mary, so glad you've felt well enough to go back to work. I hope you continue to feel at least that well if not better. Congrats on booking the 2010 cruise, too.

Marsha, the pic of the 3 of you is adorable. We didn't see any of those photographers :sad2: . I've got to see if we have any photos worth posting ;) .

Chris,

Keep trying for CRT I made a mistake, and arrived on Tue and my reservation was for Thur. They told me to stick around, something might open up. It was just my DGD and I...about 20 min later we had a table. someone did not show.

Magic does happen!

The storm never really came though ...we only had a little rain.
It has been a beautiful day here after all.

The inlaws laundry is done. mine is almost done.

i went shopping for the new grand baby..spent almost 200.00 it looks like nothing.:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Baby is due on the 12th.

Thanks, Flo.

I should have said that BC was the only DVC in WDW I've never stayed at; we haven't yet been to VB or HH.

Joanne,

Thats ok! I have not been any were else but the SSR. That is why I thought Boardwalk would be nice. We could walk the boardwal and relax before we get ready for the cruise. :woohoo: We did stay at animal Kingdom before it was DVC.

Take care

Hello All!

It's been months since my first post. I have occasionally checked back to read some of the posts but the last time I actually logged in was way back in November. How time flies!

We survived Christmas and hopefully have seen the last of winter here in NJ. It was 77 today!

This is the first cruise for my kids and I so planning is underway. How exciting!!

I am currently working on the passport applications for the kids and myself. I am also researching transportation to/from the port. Are there any updates on the party bus? Do you know the cost? (I tried to send a PM to BVCOwner2002 but I got a message that I had to have 10 posts to send a PM and I only had 4. So, I assume that message did not get delivered)

The kids and I have also been researching the Castaway Cay section on the DCL site. Lots of options. My son and I are hoping to go Parasailing. This will be a new adventure for both of us. Does anyone have any other suggestions for kids?

As for WDW, we arrive to BCV on 9/11 and then staying at BLT 9/17 - 9/20.

The kids (5 & 10) have actually planned out their dining plans for most of the WDW visit. I left it up to them. Now, we just have to wait to get them booked. This new 90 day booking window is going to drive me crazy. Can you tell we are a little PHANATICal about our planning?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me when we get the cruise itinerary. Do we get the details of activities, shows, etc. prior to when we are able to book special activities/excursions?

For the kids clubs, do you have to sign up for specific times or can they come and go through out the day based on other activities we may have planned?

Well, I have lots more questions but it is getting late and I do not want to go on and on and on all in one post.

Any information you can provide is appreciated!

Faithtrustnpixiedust,

I am glad to see you, I wasn't here in November, I joined the group a couple of months ago.

They will need to get you on the group list...please post more so you can PM.

I may not be much help to you, since this will be my first Disney Cruise. Have done others. You usually get your next days activity list the night before, so you can plan your day.

The way I understand it they are waiting for more people to reply before they secure transportation. Which is very smart.

I could be wrong, but the way I understand it the kids can come and go, when ever you choose. And they have pagers for you, in case your kids need you. Sounds like a plan to me.

Sounds like your planning is in full motion now,,,Good Luck.

Good night every one,,,have a great day tomorrow.

Good morning everyone - happy Monday!

Welcome back! Just a reminder that if you want your family included in the groups member gallery on our web page to send your info to me. Full details are in the first post on this thread.

I don't believe details for the bus have been made yet. Annmarie will need a certain number of people committed before she can secure it and I don't believe she has that yet.

The basic cruise itinerary will be up on the DVC Member Cruise web page (the official one). It won't list each activity however. That you get in your navigator the night before. Basically it will be this:

Sunday - sailaway
Monday - Castaway Cay (most likely Pirate Night)
Tuesday - Day at Sea
Wednesday - Castaway Cay again (with the group picture at 10:30 on the boat beach)
Thursday - return to Port Canaveral

As far as booking things like excursions. You do that online. Since you are a first time DCL cruiser you will do this at 75 days out. Those staying in suites can do it 105 days out, and returning cruisers get to do it 90 days out. This is for Palo (both brunch and dinner), the spa, any excursions, and signing up the kids for the clubs.

In regards to the kids clubs. You sign them up online and then when you check them in they will get wrist bands and you will get a pager. I believe for the 10 year old you can give them check in/check out privledges on their own. That is up to you. They will have their own navigator which lists when/where everything happens. There are certain times (transition to one activity or another) when you can't sign them in but all other times you just go, sign them in, and they have fun. When they want to leave they will have you paged and you go pick them up.

I hope you stick around and chat with us. Ask as many questions as you want. We were all first time cruisers at some point and love to help.

Happy Birthday Cathy (cathyn)!

Hi!

Glad to see a post from you. We are here so come back any time. There is a list on the first page of things going on, on the cruise. So stop on by and take a look and see if you would like to do any of them.

The below is the office SSMC09 web site. Not much on it yet.

http://dvc.disney.go.com/dvc/miniSite/memberCruise?id=MemberCruisePage

Take care! Planning is part of the fun.

We are staying at the boardwalk the night before the cruise and leaving right after the cruise.

Thanks, Flo.

I should have said that BC was the only DVC in WDW I've never stayed at; we haven't yet been to VB or HH.

We own at HH and have stayed there once since we purchases, not a lot to do there unless you play golf, or if you like Early bird specials and Bloody Mary's in the morning. Although Savannah is close by to visit. But thats about it, the resort itself is nice, quiet and good to go and just relax.

We stayed at HH on the way home from SSMC07. We were only there for a night and it was October so not prime beach time. It was a rainy day so while we went to the beach house we didn't stay there. I'd like to go back for a slightly longer visit sometime and maybe do a day trip to Savannah.

We used to own at Vero so we've been there a couple of times. Once the night before our December 2004 cruise. Love sitting out on the balcony (we were in an ocean view inn room) at the water. When we were last there in December 2007 there was a red tide going on so again not much beach/water time.
