Thanks for the warm welcome..I intend to be talking to all of you. I am sure it will take me a little time to get to know all of you. I will give my info the the web page soon. Have a great evening. I am getting ready to fill out, my paper work to renew my passport.:cheer2: That means I'll be ready for the trip soon.

Dianne - we look forward to getting to know you and sailing with you!

Awwww....thanks for remembering about me guys!

It was pretty yucky out there. I got up at 4:00am this morning to shovel. Left my house at 5:15am when I saw the weather. The auditions were at 9:00am right downtown at the Joffrey Building on Randolf. I got all parked at 8:40am. (Usually it only takes about 1 hou 45 minutes to get there.) So we made it, but it made for a VERY long drive. The drive home was actually WORSE! I thought while we were there it would stop snowing, but that wasn't the case. We were going 25mph on the expressway on the way back home - it was brutal.

I probably wouldn't have gone had I known it would be that bad. But we had a great time. Courtney did awesome, and I met some really great moms there. Not the over-bearing, pushy ones you sometimes see. We won't find out if she made it until they send letters out next week. But that really wasn't the purpose of it all and I'm just glad she felt so comfortable.

Even more glad that its over. :rolleyes1

I think the next audition is Feb. 14th. Hopefully we won't have any snow that time around.

Kelly - happy to hear you made it home and had a good time. The snow just wouldn't stop today! Mark is just now handling the snow at home after being at work and plowing most of the day. Yuck!

Tell me about it! When I shovelled at 4:00am I thought I would have a good head start and when I got home I wouldn't have much to do. But it was like I hadn't done a darn thing! I'm so sore. I just got in about an hour ago. I keep thinking I'm gonna buy a snow thrower, but I never do because I tell myself I won't be here for another winter. I guess buying the snow thrower commits me to another winter. :sad2:

But its either a snow thrower or a husband. I need one or the other by next winter! (Of course there are my commitment issues to overcome - with the snow thrower, of course. :worried: )

Don't worry we have a few months before the SSM09 cruise to get to know each other.

Take care

Kelly,

Glad everything turned out for you and your daughter. Also, that you got what you wanted out of it. That was no fun I am sure doing 25 all the way home.
Have a good evening and relax you have had one heck of a day.:grouphug:

Well I have a husband and a snow thrower and it took him over 2 hours to get it all done.

He did get in a nap this afternoon. He's now in and taking a hot shower while I make dinner.

Want a tip? Wait till thaw and check out the lawn & garden repair shops, they end up with a bunch of new & used to get rid of, you can probably find a good deal on one. That's snowthrowers, not husbands. ;)

Well... I'm not as tired as I thought I'd be, but a lot of that is due to the snowthrower we have is a tank. I'd estimate we got a total of 9-12 with drifts deeper than that. And coming back from work I was amazed at the number of cars out in the middle of the mess, just running local errands to the stores, not specific tasks like yours.

9-12 inches??? Wow, the storm is bigger than I thought. I think that it is supposed to get here about midnight.

Glad you are not as tired as you thought!;) It was a long day for you.

Also the idea on snowthrowers. We need to get one that I can start. So I can use it.

Robbie,

The winder watch was supposed to end at 6:AM and they changed it to 6:00PM. We had to go out early in the morning and when we were on are way home the snow was supposed to be over but it was getting worse. Visability was not good.

:wizard: that you don't get as much as we had.

This may have been mentioned before, but I went over to the Disney website for the cruise and it now says 2009. There isn't any info yet, but at least it is the correct year.

Good Sunday Morning All! :) Hope today is less eventfull in the weather department.

Flo - yes we got snow Friday night into Saturday. They said we would get a trace to 2 inches where we are and we got over 6 inches! I'm glad we didn't get the 9-12 like you guys though. On Friday it started out as freezing rain then turned to ice pellets before finally turning to snow. Yuck! And I just looked outside this morning and it looks like we got more snow last night. My DH has a John Deere Gator that he uses to push snow. And he says thank god we got that! It works great on our driveway, which is fairly long, on an incline and with a curve in it.

Kelly - glad you made it to Chicago and back safely. My knuckles would have been white and I would have had a serious headache from driving on roads like that. I will be anxious to hear how your daughter did. Be sure to keep us posted.
