Hey - how about all meeting at WDW sometime in the future? That would be fun, no?

Granted, home cities are also a great idea but we all love Disney too! Just thinking.

And we can't wait. 16 days and we will be there again. Hopefully we can all stay healthy. Had to get Brooke from school today cuz she wasn't feeling well. Got her home just in time to lose her lunch. Ewwwwww. But she has felt fine ever since. So, I don't know. She is not running a fever or anything. Looks tired though. And yesterday there were like 60 kids gone from the high school. This flu thing, sorry to say, sucks! I hope all kids/grandkids are doing fine. It is so scary.

That would be great Chris, I think it might be tough to schedule though. The kids are so active in everything that to pull them away is tough. I hope Brooke is feeling better, and will be okay. I agree the flu sucks!

Has anyone started the clocks we received on the cruise?

Well, I just put a battery in mine and, OMG, is it ever loud. Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick. Now, I am not a noise person. I don't like extra noise that is not necessary so to me this clock is really loud. So I was just wondering if any of your clocks were annoying like mine? I have only tried one and not the other so any response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for asking Chris. The port comes out on Monday! It is out patient in the afternoon and the doctor says it is simple but I'm still just a little worried. I have taken Tuesday as a vacation day (I'm out of sick days) to kind of rest up and not have to get dressed up for work etc.

Chris - No nothing yet on the job. I have been to Des Moins on busness years ago. Are corporate office was in the middle of a corn field. I loved it. BUt I am sure now it has been built up. I did like it out there. I also liked the airport.

We have a clock in DS's room. It is not too loud for DS. He sleeps right through it. I don't think it is loud, though.

Good Morning!

Thanks for the well wishes, again, for Brooke. She was feeling better by last night. So not sure if flu or if it was just something she ate, as she only got sick the one time . Becca told me there were over 70 kids gone from the High School yesterday. That is like one whole grade as the classes at our schools average around 60 kids per grade. We gotta stay healthy. Food and Wine is just a little over two weeks away for us.

Dianne - congrats on the house party. Sounds like fun. Please keep us posted.

Dave - I know it is hard to do anything as the kids get older and get more involved in activities. In fact we may have to delay our trip to Texas by a day at Thanksgiving if Becca makes All-State Music. She is trying out this weekend and, if she makes it, the concert is the day we have planned to head out. But, we can leave a day later because we are driving down. I just hope she makes it. This is her first time to try out because we are usually down at WDW during auditions. And her music teacher kinda told her last year that he really wanted her to try out this year. So we will see.

This sickness is all over the place. One of our elementary schools had almost 20% out yesterday. Glad Dustin's was just a quick dose and hopefully he won't get it again.

I haven't put my clock up yet, but DBFF Gail said she did, and YES, she said it was really loud. Wondering whether to even put batteries in mine or just use it as a wall decoration!
