09/13/09 SSMC09 S.S. Member Cruise 2009 - Part 4!

Yes, we miss the coffee club too. The only thing is now I can hear your voices while I read your posts, weird I know, but that is how I am. ;)

We are waiting for our youngest to call and say she is home from her Volleyball game. It was an away game today and we weren't able to get away from work. I hate that when that happens. But I have a tater tot casserole in the oven - with green beans just for Dave :lmao: - that we just love. Plus it is heating the house up.

Hi Chris,

This is so weird - but I feel the same way too! Now that I have actually talked to you all, I feel like I know when I'm going to hear you laugh, and what that sounds like, or see an expression on someone's face - it's just too funny that you said that! I feel like I can even see Dave, showing his girls how to make a towel animal - SNAKE ! :rotfl2:

Okay, I just have to know what is in a tater tot casserole, besides Dave's favorite green beans - wanna share? :rotfl:

Morning Sue! Happy Anniversary!

OMG, Bobby just loves telling the snake towel story to people. He just laughs at that. Thanks for the memory Dave! :lmao:

Ok, tater tot casserole is so easy - its a pound, pound and a half of hamburger, I usually use pound and a half, chopped onion, 1 can mushrooms, 1 can french style green beans, 2 cans cream of mushroom soup. I layer it in that order in a 9x13 pan or a casserole dish. Bake at 350 for 1/2 hour. Cover the top with tater tots and bake another hour. Yummmmmmmmmm! You can leave the green beans out if you want to, or the mushrooms. Good either way.

Good morning everyone! Ellen once again thanks for the great pictures. I have just loved looking at everyone's pictures. Such great memories!

Chris - when are you going to start the 2010 thread? :)

And a very happy "Happy Anniversary" to you and Bob!! I got cards this morning already from the hubby, who left them downstairs in our room before he left for work!! It was sooo cute! He already got his present in WDW when he bought a watch that had an image of the statue of Walt and Mickey, like the one in front of the Castle - he really liked it, so I told him to get it and then said "happy anniversary, dear" !!! :rotfl:

The casserole sounds great - especially good for one of the upcoming chilly soccer game days that I'm sure will be heading my way! Thanks! The green beans will definitely stay in - and although I love mushrooms, they are not a favorite of John or Dustin. So we'll see.

Chris,

Thanks for the recipe! It sounds so good.

Morning ALL.!

Mark - we did the same thing. Went swimming one last time yesterday. Now our weather is to be crappy the rest of the week. With a chance of strong storms, hail and tornadoes, starting on Wednesday night through Friday. Ughhhh.

Yes being in the 90's then coming back to this is so hard. Hope to return to the wdw in late oct for wine and food weekend.

Hi everyone you guys are up way to early. Feels like November here in chicago. Which as of this friday will be home to the 2016 Olympics.

Do you have inside info that we have it already?

I sure hope not. I honestly don't feel the city or the country are in a good enough financial situation to fund this and with Daley willing to sign off that the taxpayers will cover any overages. :scared1:

Mary,

I do agree with you on that. How much are the tax payers going to cover and how much more are taxes going to go up to do this. Guess we will see on Friday.:)

It is a nice fall day here. i put cup cakes in the oven and chili for dinner tonight.

take care and have a great day.

If we do get the olympics I am renting my house and going to WDW lol

I like that idea!:thumbsup2 It is going to be crazy. I am glad at least I am not in the inter city. They will be out here but not as much.

Joanne,

We may be out there at the same time then. We would do from 12/10. I want to be out there for Steven's birthday. That is the 11th. I am thinking about Animal Kingdom. Were do you stay.

take care

Hi Flo,

Our home is AKV, but we've been to just about all the WDW resorts except BLT (and with the points for BLT, I'm not sure we will, OK unless our DGDs HAVE to stay there ;) ). We do love AKV; there's something so cool about having giraffes and antelope "breakfasting" w/you.

Well, on Friday evening, I found that my documents for my VGC add-on were in my door. Since I normally come in through the garage, I have no idea when they actually came. :confused3 But at least I found them and got them signed today. They will be in the mail tomorrow. Of course, I have no idea why I didn't think to look for them.

Congrats, Robbie. We sure were tempted, but...you know. You'll have to let us know how VGC is after you've stayed there.

Chris,

Thanks for the recipe! It sounds so good.

Morning ALL.!
