09/05/09 LABORless MAGICal Meanderers

I am not celebrating anything in particular on this cruise (other than being on vacation) so that title wouldn't really apply to us...

I am not feeling creative this morning either:

Magical Western Mateys
Magical Western Buccaneers
Buccaneers Invade the West or Buccaneers Invade the Magical Western

Hi everyone,
I would love to "talk" to Disney fans going on this cruise.
There are 4 of us - myself, my son Brian, daughter-in-law Jennifer and granddaughter Shannah (age 9).
We live in Ohio.

Marlene :)

MAGICal Meanderings - I kinda like it!

I remember seeing Laborless Cruise which I thought was cute.

My suggestion is MAGICal Celebrations.

I got nothin' new.
How about Mickey's MAGICal Meanderers?

Hi,
I am new to this site :)
What are FEs?

We will be on the Magic on Sept. 5.

Maybe it is just the sailor in me but please no shipmate comments. To a enlisted member or the Navy it is almost a deragatory term. It did not start that way but it has become such due to higher ranking persons not caring enough about you to read the name on your shirt and pants.

And I truely plan on no labor on this vacation as it will be my last days off until christmas time,

Welcome welcome Marlene!!!:goodvibes
About the FE's, Page 36 and 46 of this thread has really good info, and of course page 1), check it out. you can buy the Fish Extender on ebay, or make your own. we bought our supplies yesterday and are sewing ours on Friday, I am sooooo excited.

I vote for 'Laborless' in the name. We have to include our holiday in the name, not being bossy or anything, lol...How about..

'Laborless' Western Magic

'Laborless' Buccaneers (sp?)

I like the idea of laborless....literally, working hard this week:headache:

The bracelets hold 25 characters, got to get our money's worth:goodvibes
The back will have DCL-September 5-12, 2009, to remember our dates, if that's OK with everyone..

can't wait:yay:

I was trying to read all these in my email on my phone and thought I was brilliant by coming up with laborless western magic and then logged in to see queen suggested it! how's that name change? ;) anyway, that name gets my vote!

welcome marlene!

Hi,
Thank you for the welcome!
I am getting so excited!!

I just found out how to navigate this site and I'm really looking forward to reading all the 49 pages!!! and meeting the fellow cruisers.

Thanks for the info about FEs and bracelets :)

I also like the idea of using "Labor" in the group name - since we will not be "laboring" at all. I am trying to think of an alliterative phrase to go with "Laborless".
How about "Laborless Loafers", "Lively Laborless Loafers", "Lucky Laborless Loafers" (We are lucky to be loafers on Labor Day.), "Lyrical Laborless Loungers"??

Hi,
Do you have takers for this fish extender?
I haven't made it though all of the messages yet to check.

Anyway, if it is still available, I would love to have it.

Thanks,
Marlene

Please add my family to all of the festivities :)
I would like 5 bracelets (3 adult, 2 children)
There are only 4 of us, but I would like a spare (just in case). :flower3:

Okay everyone... I just had a little freak out session when I saw my signature. 1 month, 1 week, and 6 days.....

I'm not too worried about the packing. Preston is going to see his grandparents in a few weeks, so I am going to try to pack all of the extras, costumes, formal clothes, and everything else we will not need while he is gone. Remember, we are trying to pull off this surprise trip.

What I'm worried about is the diet I'm supposed to be on. Time is ticking and I need to get moving...literally! Anyone else in the same boat???

On another note... I was reading something else and saw that we need to come up with a room change back up plan for the FE's. If people upgrade or change rooms for another reason our room numbers will be useless. Any ideas?

Hi aussieinvasion :)
Please add my family to the Cruisers list - Marlene (?), DS - Brian, DDL - Jennifer, DGD - Shannah (age 9). Cabin #7050
I would also like to participate in the Fish Extenders, but I have to read more about it.
I don't quite understand it.

I think that I am in TROUBLE. Since I was directed to this site, I have done very little around the house :(
I am having too much fun reading all the posts and checking everything out.

I plan on losing weight after the cruise, but I feel your pain! Maybe I'll try a little now too so we can commisserate together. :flower3:

Maybe have a list of FE participants and then during the meet on the first day, everyone can confirm room #s. :confused3

:rotfl: Welcome to our worlds! And we've been on this site for months now!! :surfweb:

Aussie - I think we're going to join the FE as well, both rooms! If we're doing a gift per person then we should somehow track how many people per room? Or were we doing 1 per room? I've only started thinking of ideas but haven't yet gotten anything. Anyway, we're 2 rooms. My room (6050 currently, considering cash upgrade at port if available) is 2a,2c and my in-laws haven't been assigned to a room yet, 2a. Me and mil were talking about it this weekend and aren't sure how creative we're going to get with our FEs so we may just hang a Disney theme shopping bag or something instead. :rotfl:

Oh yes. DH and I have freaked out about that too! Plus, we are going to WDW for a week after the cruise and having free dining. We will be eating a lot on our two week trip! I work out faithfully every weekday. (I take weekends off.) I do plan to work out in the fitness room on the cruise, but I will only work out on the sea days, and there are only two of those. I am afraid that will not be enough for all of that food I will be eating. Oh well, I will do the best that I can and see what happens......

 Mike, will this truly be your last days off before Christmas, or just your last vacation days???

I know what everyone means about looking at the countdown clock and freaking out! This is the first time we've flown to a vacation since the new luggage rules went into effect, and I'm stressing about being able to pack all we need without going overweight. That's an expensive mistake. Just packing for the cruise wouldn't be so bad, but we're also doing 6 days post-cruise at WDW.

I've got a weird question for those of you who've sailed before... Do you remember if they sell pajamas in the ship's shops? I deal with my PDD (Post-Disney Depression) with copious amounts of Disney-themed pajamas. (:rolleyes1 more than slightly nutty, I know :rolleyes1) Hubby has been teasing me for a couple of years that he'd take me to WDW to buy new pajamas. I'm thinking I won't bother to pack any if I can buy some new ones onboard. For obvious reasons, I didn't want to post this question on the main boards! :rotfl:

And another question... Do any of you have experience attending the inter-denominational service onboard? Here's the deal: I'm an ordained minister. I've had a couple of e-mails back and forth with Wilma in the Reservations Dept. (Wilma seems to answer all the e-mails -- I wonder if that is just a psuedonym for anyone who answers e-mails, or if it really is just one person who responds to all?) I've offered, if the person who leads the service would like, to do Communion at the appropriate time in the service. I don't want to lead the whole service -- it will be a treat to attend a service led by someone else for a change! -- but would like to know if I should come prepared. I imagine they don't always have a person authorized to administer Communion aboard. The best Wilma can seem to do is tell me to talk to Guest Relations when we get aboard. So, I still don't know if I need to bring wafers and procure a bottle of wine and some grape juice. I can probably pick up a small bottle of grape juice at the market at AKL during our one pre-cruise night there. I'm not concerned about having to produce credentials on the spot since I always carry my credentials card with me. Any ideas?

Ibela, we're going to be your neighbor onboard! We're in 6042. And, we may be neighbors in NJ! Which part of Jersey are you from? We're in N. NJ, just north of Dover, off of I-80.

Ibela, I read your review of your 2007 cruise. Great review! :thumbsup2 And just how darling is Fallon?!? :cutie: Is she still in love with Mimi?

ibela - 1 treat per person per cruise.

I just finished counting people and it looks like 30 adults and 21 children. If I counted correctly this includes everyone except prdaniel. The first page does not show their info.
