'08 Dining Plan Changed

Just got off with CS and was told for 08...that cost for adult meals would be $37.99 but no appetizer and tip was also not included. Bummer Now I have to decide if I want it or not for my trip in 08.

I've been following this as well. I'm sure this will drastically reduce the amount of people on DDP. The value was always there with the appetizer and tip. That could easily add $25 a day in additional costs.

It really makes the plan unattractive to us. We broke even for the last two years. With the added expense of the tip the DDP will not be worth it for us anymore.

These changes have made it very easy for me to justify staying off-site for the first time. Now we are planning to try out Universal and some of the other area attractions. We'll still spend a few days at Disney, just not the entire trip anymore. It makes me sad, but it might be really fun. I guess we'll see...

But, I wish they had left the plan alone!
