Yesterday was interesting....

I got up early (for a Sunday) so I could get DSis' ressies booked. And as we all know, THAT turned into quite the dramatic experience :headache: :badpc:

And ended the day by staying up late (for a worknight) to race for the 2K pirate: :surfweb:

What a charmed life. The worst of my worries are whether or not I can get dinner reservations or win a pirate smiley :rotfl2: :cool1: :lmao:

:lmao: :rotfl: I'm so sorry you are having such a tough time right now! ;) :rotfl:

I actually had a little bit of cruise-related drama today.

I pulled up my NW airline reservations to find that my 2-leg itinerary between Brussels and Orlando had been changed to 3 legs in each direction. And I wouldn't be arriving in Orlando until 10pm on the 6th!

The short version of the story is that I switched to United. We now have 2 non-stop flights on each day, and I saved $800. I had enough Frequent Flyer miles in my UA account to still upgrade to Business class on the overseas flights. So life is good! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

All that Pixie Dust! :woohoo:

Wow everyone has been very busy.
I spent 2- 2 hours sessions with disneycruise.com yesterday. Thought all the problems were with our computer. Took me two hours to pre register then I could not make excursions....called, got the one hour story. Went back in later (another two hour session) and was able to book Afternnon Beach Bash and St Thomas Island Tour.
Congrats on the 2000pirate: So many pages to read today.

I noticed that on our Palo reservation for dinner.. the first number of the reservation number, which is normally your dcl reservation number, isn't our reservation number.. :scared1: so I called the reservation toll free number and spoke with a cast member named Flow.. She said yes, we are confirmed for Monday at 8pm 2 adults for dinner.. :thumbsup2 so I wont worry about it anymore.. I just hope none of you have the reservation number we got..

Yeah, what's that all about:confused3 I would've taken the kids to the club, said "stay here while I go out and have fun, and don't have me paged!"

(Disclaimer in case we have visitors to the thread: No child neglect is being proposed, supported or endored by this post. The kids in question were all between 7 and 10 years old.) ;)

:lmao: I LOVE your disclaimer... :rotfl2:

Hello! :hippie:
If you post your info here, I'll put it on the cruise blog (see the link below my signature block). You can also post on the secret santa thread. It'll help if you do both so everyone can update their lists (we're already shopping :banana: )

Also we decided to use stockings instead of fish extenders in keeping with the holiday theme. Plus we can buy bigger stuff! :woohoo:

Dont forget you need to be able to PACK those "Bigger" presents in a suitcase :rolleyes1 Thats why I chose the 2 pocket apron that I will deck out in Christmas/Cruise theme :santa: Wide enough for a card..

Sorry we are being such bad influences on your sleep. :rolleyes1 However, it is nice having others to get excited with about the upcoming cruise. :cool1:

:darth: Bill Update::darth:

:
:wave2: He called me not too long ago stating they were getting ready for their afternoon session. He was instructed to wear comfortable walking shoes because they were doing something at Epcot. I'm curious to find out what exactly they did. :confused:

Angie & Dennis,
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
a little late.

Thank you, but yesterday was the anniversary of the day we met at DL, not the day we married. That will be coming up Oct 6. Our family is having a "surprise" anniversary party for us Sept 29. So I guess we get to celebrate 3 times this year! :woohoo: :banana: :love:

:darth: Bill Update::darth:

:thumbsup2 He had the best time at Epcot yesterday. He kept saying that we need to go back next year at this same time. I think he forgot, we already are! :lmao: He rode Soarin', Test Track and Mission:Space all twice. He said there were NO lines. :woohoo: Also, he ate Fish 'N Chips for Angie and me at lunchtime. Then, he had Chinese food for dinner. He said that was delicious too. He stayed to watch Illuminations and got into his room around 10 PM. :cloud9:

I am so jealous! We LOVE Epcot! :love: Boy, when we get retired we are going there in Sept. hurricanes or not! Actually our first trip there was Sept on my business trip. Way fun! :dance3:

I was looking at the gifts on disneycruise.com.........has anyone ever order flowers? I would like to have those beautiful pink roses to enjoy every time I walk back into our cabin. I wonder if they last a week, it would be hard to throw them out at the end of the trip.
One year I ordered the birthday celebration for my husband, also had Shirley make up a very nice gift of Chicago sport teams themed items. He was very surprised. I even held back the cards he received in the mail, took them with and gave them to him on his birthday.

Is anyone else having a Christmas tree dilemma? We usually put up a real Christmas tree. But, we will be gone for the first two weeks in December. So, we are coming back from our trip with two weeks of Christmas. By then, the trees at the lots are pretty slim pickings and pitiful! We don't want to by an artificial tree. We've had two in the past and the big boxes are a pain to store. We don't have cellars or even proper attics in Texas. So, storage is at a premium over here. What is everyone else doing? Just curious. :confused:

Because of my allergies we always have artifical trees. So I am no help to you. Could you buy the real tree before the cruise and keep it outdoors in a bucket of water?

I hope Bill has a great time "eating his way around EPCOT". We love it. I am so jealous. I missed a lot of good business trips when I stayed home with our children. Now I go too. Like you, I was a stay at home mom and I loved it (except when DH traveled). I know what you mean about hearing every noise.:eek:

We also have an allergy situation, as well as all those pets, so we have artificial trees. Last year, we had three, this year we'll be adding one more. We have one in our front room, which is also my TV room, one in the living room, one in DGD's room and one upstairs in my home office.

One of the smaller ones of those trees will be with us at Fort Wilderness, the rest of them will all be set up and decorated before we leave. The dogs are going on a vacation of their own to my DIL's mom for the length of our trip, and the trees are always securely tied up so that the cats can't bother them, and the friends who will be watching the rest of the menagerie will keep an eye on everything. We have no breakable ornaments (or toxic ones;)) on any of our trees. All of our fragile things are displayed on hooks mounted on the wall or on "pet proof" shelving.

We also have an almost endless supply of holly, ivy, pine cones and pine boughs which will be added to the decorations when we return!

Beth
