I called the Castaway Cay Club last night because we still have not received our new cards. The helpful person I talked to told me somethings I did not know.
First of all my husband and I (and everyone else) have our own numbers. Because we only had his number, I was marked "first time cruiser".
She also told me that when we receive our KTTW cards at the port they now show "Repeat Cruiser". This Repeat Cruise "status" will allow us to purchase things onboard that first timers cannot purchase. Is anyone else aware of this? If so, what kind of things are offered? Our last cruise was in 2004, so this is something new for us.

Hi, everybody!

Within the next two weeks I'll be making the iron-on transfers for the T shirts. If you want me to make your iron-ons, please PM your real name and mailing address, and how many you'll need. That way, I can figure out what supplies I need to purchase.

I'm really hoping to do this over the Labor Day weekend, if things aren't too busy!

I also just noticed that my vacation countdown has hit double-digits--and I missed it! Soon the cruise countdown will be double-digits too, and we can all start making those reservations and arrangements!

I'm pretty sure our KTTW cards said "Castaway Club" on the last cruise. But I sure didn't find out about any "special stuff" we could buy. How are we supposed to know about these things? :confused3

Is there a secret handshake we use in the shops????? :rotfl:

Our friends applied for their passports 13 weeks ago, she e-mailed and found out one more week and they should receive them. She has been so nervous that they would not come in time to cruise. I told her birth certificates are fine this year.

We are home now. We were out and about running errands today. It can take longer with three kids in tow. :dance3:

It is Cole's 2nd Birthday today. His picture was on the local morning news this morning. You can send in a photo to be aired for their birthday (Fox 4 News). Cole was grinning from ear to ear when he saw his picture. He is a ham! I just laid him down for a nap. So, I have an hour or two of peace and quiet. That is, if Will and Emily cooperate.

:cool1: Bill and I were talking last night about going to WDW and on a cruise without the kids in a "few" years. :cloud9: We've talked about it before, but I thought maybe I was just dreaming. But, Bill really seems to think it could be a reality. I am sure WDW will be a whole different experience without the kids. :cool1: We were thinking maybe the Land/Sea Package. So, we aren't away from the kids for too long. We'll see. . .

:goodvibes Thank you for Cole's Birthday wishes! :goodvibes I'll show them to him when he wakes up, which should be any moment.

Here's the "Birthday Boy"

Wishing a happy (although slightly belated) birthday to the absolutely adorable Cole!

Yes, WDW and DCL are a very different vacation without kids. It gives you time to stop and smell the roses or to take an uninterrupted afternoon nap or even a bath!

WIFamily, how's the weather going to be in your area Saturday My daughter is going to Alpine Valley to the Dave Matthews Band concert.

Cole is very photogenic. If he sees me with the camera he is already saying "cheese". It is cute. He didn't get the blue eyes from my side of the family. I am Irish/Italian heritage and no one in my family has blue eyes. Even the Irish relatives I've met had either red hair and green eyes or brown hair and hazel eyes.

Our three children all have different physical characteristics:

Will - Brown Hair/Brown Eyes
Emily - Blonde Hair/Hazel Eyes
Cole - Dk Brown Hair/Blue Eyes

If we had one more child they'd probably have red hair and green eyes!

Go figure!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes for Cole! We just have one more birthday in our family before the cruise (Emily turns 5 in September). Then, our 11th Anniversary is in late November. We are waiting to celebrate our Anniversary onboard. Our Palo dinner will be our Anniversary dinner. That is what we did last year and it was sooooooooooo nice.
:cool1: I can't wait for this cruise!:cool1:

:sad1: Bill leaves in a couple of weeks for WDW and the Disney Institute. He plans to attend Epcot on his arrival day and then he has one free evening later in the week that he plans to go to MK. He's going to have some fish 'n chips for me in the UK. They are my favorite! I wish we were going with him, but I understand his company not wanting "distractions". Plus, Will has football practice that week. So, things happen for a reason. If Will didn't go to practice, he wouldn't be able to play in the game that Saturday. He is doing so well, we don't want him to lose momentum.:thumbsup2
