I'm cooking and posting...dangerous combo.

Veggie wars tonight. I've already pureed the onion garlic zuchinni pepper carrots and tomatoes to get the kids to eat the "meat sauce" without complaint. So am I taking it a step too far to puree some kidney beans?? :scared1: :tiptoe:

 I am still having a hard time getting DS7 and DS2 to eat their vegetables. Maybe, I'll try that.

Hiding veggies from df? ;)

Hi Emi! :wave2:

Hi!
He will eat his veggies...but he wont go out of his way to eat them, if that makes sense. So when i make Lasanga i slice them really thin and hide them between the layers. Before we started dating he tried to put ketchup on sushi! :scared:

woohoo! Thanks for stopping by, ladies and gentlemen! :cool1: That went faster than I'd expected--I haven't even burned dinner (yet).

My docs came! My docs came and I am completely UNDERWHELMED!

Maybe I am spoiled, but I am used to this shiny booklet with great pictures and descriptions of excursions, etc. All I got were the immigration forms and something that looks like airline tickets of old. Oh and luggage tags.

I got a book some time back that had the excursions listed. It came much earlier than the docs.

Congrats on the princess: Robby!

I know you are a Cowboys fan like Bill (and I am by marriage :lmao: ). Did you watch the game on Thanksgiving. Bill was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy! :cool1: It is surreal to have them doing so well this year. Now, bring on the Packers. :cheer2: Bill is also happy that the game this week is on Thursday. Because, he probably would have missed it if it was on Sunday. We'll be at WDW.

Mine have a limited selection, but the last week or so has been rough. But I got them to eat up a spaghetti sauce FULL of peppers and zuchinni and such. Flavour doesn't bother them, "bits" do. OMG, ds almost earned an Oscar eating TWO pieces of zuchinni the other night. :sad2:

I think I ran a school bus out of the road earlier.

Therein lies a story? Everyone good?

Good news about the teacher?

Ah...ketchup. That's a veggie isn't it??

And speaking of supper, I'm getting cranky with lean ground beef that ISN'T. :(

I think I married one of those guys. Then we had children who put ketchup on everything...I mean EVERYTHING!

I have no ideas about your dinner, I need an idea too.

Last night we had grilled vegetable scewers ( I don't know how you would hide the veggies on the skewers) and grilled chicken. DH made the chicken and it was way too done. Just because the grill will reach 800 doesn't mean you have to cook at that temp. I hope he will figure that one out soon.

I did make some good soup Friday night. It was tomato based with pasta.

Good luck.

:goodvibes Congrats on the pirate: !:goodvibes

Thanks Jennifer!

Sorry you had a rough day, Emi. I'm sorry. Even when I get cranky I try to preface my ire with "I know it's not your fault..." or even try to say Company X did/said instead of "YOU said/did..."

Supper? We're having a (veggieful) chili. I have been craving chili for ages, and I refuse to give in to my kids' hatred of beans!! Wish I had some cornbread to go with it, but cornbread's gonna have to wait until I've safely fit into my cruise clothes! :sad1:

Same here, we got a booklet MONTHS AGO from DCL with information on excursions, tux rentals, gift baskets, etc . . .

The documentation people are receiving now are their official tickets, baggage tags and Bahamas Immigration Forms (Castaway Cay is in the Bahamas). To those first time DCL cruisers, complete your registration online and then print and bring those sheets with you to port. We did it last week and it was easy! Also, DO NOT put your DCL baggage tags on before getting to MCO if you are going to a WDW resort BEFORE the cruise. However, put the DCL tags on before putting your bags on the bus to port. Those baggage tags are VERY important in making sure your bags get to your stateroom in a "timely" manner.

last time we went straight to the cruise and we put our tags on before we left Tennessee - and then the next time we saw our luggage was in our cabin. We did not have to pick up our luggage. But is this because we took the DCL transportation? Krisann

:thumbsup2 Thank you for the correction Krisann. I found the following information from the DCL website regarding going straight from MCO to port. DO put your tags on at your home airport if you are going straight to the port from MCO!:

Ground Transportation
Prior to the start of your vacation, you will receive a Documentation Packet that includes special luggage tags. Attach the tags to your luggage and bring the included vouchers with you to the airport.
At your hometown airport, check your luggage as you normally would at the start of a trip.
Upon landing at Orlando International Airport, skip baggage claim and proceed to the Disney Welcome Center. Disney will collect your luggage and deliver it to your stateroom.††
From the Disney Welcome Center, you're off to your Disney Cruise Line® ship! Board a deluxe, air-conditioned motor coach, sit back and relax as we chauffeur you to the Disney Cruise Line® Terminal at Port Canaveral.
After your cruise has ended, return back to Orlando International Airport in a deluxe air-conditioned motor coach.

Anyone know the name of the port we will be at in St. Thomas? I want to take a ferry to St. John and go to the national park. Maybe I should just do the excursion?

That reminds me of how my mom cooks chicken! She is so afraid of over cooking it that it always ends up very dry.

I dont really need to hide the veggies...he just wont pack them for lunch. I work 6:30 - 3 and he works 10 to 9 so any dinners i make have to reheat well. It kind of limits my options! although i did make a yummy sun dried tomato and goat cheese pizza the other day

Thanks Jennifer!

It's funny you mentioned chili, Bill made the best chili last night for dinner. We ate it while watching football. Football and chili, what a great combo. :cheer2: He makes it without the beans. The kids even ate it up. Now, that is amazing. They are VERY picky eaters. :sad2:

Why thank you for your consideration! We can not give out package codes, and sometimes people can get a bit fiesty. I try to be nice and say "If you look online at www.disneyworld.com you might find some offers!"

Chilli does sound good. I could make it healthy too! maybe with turkey... I understand about fitting into the cruise clothes!
My option was either gain 10 pounds for one size or loose 5 with the smaller size. I was too cheap to pay the 60$ to let the dress out! And those 5 pounds have been harder than i thought!

:thumbsup2 That sounds so yummy! I love goat cheese and cheeses like feta (MY FAVORITE!). I could eat Greek salads for the rest of my life and nothing else. Now, Bill will eat the pizza side and nothing else for the rest of his life. :lmao: DD5 has acquired her Daddy's love for pizza. DD5 is a strange creature. She eats the same as DS7, but with some fruits and vegetables thrown in here and there, and she is the skinny one. So it goes to show, eat your veggies! popcorn::
