I am so sorry to hear your son is sick. I hope is 100% very soon. DD(4) had the shot and 12 hours later a 104 temp for a day. I was really worried. DS(7) did not get the shot because he had MRSA. He is over the MRSA but I am not sure I am going to get the flu shot for him.

We usually don't get our children a flu shot. There are so many different strains of the flu that the doctors will even tell you that they can't guarantee you won't get sick. However, it just felt right to get it for them this year just in case they encountered other sick children onboard or before the cruise. However, I really feel bad that I got DS2 the flu mist and now he is sick. Personally, I don't recommend it for a child two years old.

I am no medical expert, but somewhere I heard that if you have never had the shot or only one in the past, the reaction is much stronger. I think it gets less with each shot. Oh, my pharmacist friend told me. Disclaimer... she says she is the dumbest pharmacist in GA.

Funny story... the pharmacist and I were playing a game and the clue was someone who studies meteors. She answered "a meterologist". Of course everyone gave her a very hard time about her answer. Her excuse..."I was pregnant and drunk" She was eight months along and had only had half a glass of wine all evening.

I want to start working on the magnets, but I have to make a dozen Christmas ornaments for my Bunco group. Any ideas on how to get dice into a clear glass ball?

try to find fabric dice or use the plastic snap together ornaments wehre you can put them inside and snap together. I do not recomend using real dice in glass ornaments - had a friend do it with shells and sand - broke to pieces.

So if the launch is canceled do you get some kind of refund on these tickets??

I searched and searched for the answer and finally found it when I was looking into it for us - it tells you that you are buying tickets for the LAUNCH - not the date. So if the launch is moved - your tickets move with it. Now our problem is if it is moved to while we are on the ship we are just out that money. But lets say it gets moved for a month or so - you could still come and see it - just would be a long drive for us.

So, who is giong on the three night Oct 30, 2008 crusie with my group?

Can you really do a 3 night after doing a 7 night? LOL - I was told on our first cruise - once you have done a 7-night there is no going back - So I am scared to ever even try a 3 or 4 night.

OMG I am so excited I could burst We got our documents and we got and upgrade from 12 - a 9 Deluxe Oceanview with a LG Picture Window!!!! woot woot YAYAYYAYYAY.

Congratulations! We got the same upgrade. Do you mind telling me how many cabins you booked? We booked two.

Where are the 2009 sailing dates. Does DCL always go somewhere different over summer?

Last year the Magic went to Europe (Mediterranean) and the Wonder stayed in FL to do the Bahamas cruises during the summer months. This year (2008), the Magic is going to the West Coast (CA) to do Mexican Riviera cruises and the Wonder is staying on the East Coast again to do the Bahamas cruises. Right now there is just speculation that the Magic will return to Europe for the summer of 2009. However, the itinerary from last year may change. That is only a rumor at this time. Since, DCL will only confirm their itineraries up to December 2008.

I am sure you are aware that DCL is in the process of building TWO new ships. They are scheduled to launch in 2011 and 2012. The itineraries for those are both in the rumor-mill. Many thinks at least one will do Alaskan cruises. We can only hope.

It records onto a small DVD. Then, Bill has to format it when we are done filming. Once formatted, it can be played on any DVD player. I'll leave the formatting to him. I'm just happy to have a smaller camcorder that will fit into my backpack for trips. Our other Sony was so big and bulky.

We haven't quite gotten into winter weather here in Texas. It is going to be in the 70s'/80 today. But, Thanksgiving is suppose to be in the 50's. Being originally from up north, I miss the seasons and fall in New England. We use to go to Vermont and pick apples. Those were the sweetest best tasting apples. Maybe, it was because we picked them fresh off the trees or because the whole experience made them taste better.
