...my brain is grinding away here, Angie. So...why wouldn't you have to do the last morning if we've just been to CC the previous day, which I thought was Bahamian territory...

We clear customs the last morning just as we are leaving the terminal. No mass gathering for US citizen though. I think non US have to meet last morning aboard ship though.

Thanks Angie. I'm still a little confused. YOU guys, US citizens, still have to get up once? Or twice? That's sort of a baseline for us, and I have to figure out what else may be required. Next question, do we all have to go? Or can one of us pick up/show the lot of them?

I asked the same question, and I think there were about 5 or 6 of us...but then I got lazy, or forgetful or something! So, yep, for sure, count me in.

Also wondering if anyone still working on brunch (or dinner or tea for that matter) would like to "link" with dh and I? Seems like there might be more options for parties of 3/4 than parties of 2 lately. We don't chew with our mouths open, I promise!

Well if not now maybe on the ship. I snagged a table for 2 yesteday, but I won't mind making it for 4 or 6 if that becomes an option! Dh is even willing to give his seat up, but I think he will enjoy brunch, so I will not let him.

Palo gratuity question. What does one tip at brunch, dinner and high tea?? I only am going to one as of now..but I want to be prepared...and I have faith that I will snag what I want on ship!!

Everyone has to show their face and ID, including the little ones. Showing up in jammies is fine! US citizens just once in St Thomas, then just again as you exit the ship after picking up your luggage, with our customs form filled out and ID at that point. Get a porter to take you and your luggage thru customs. They know how to negotiate the lines and deal with customs. We met Porter Bob last year (he is a DIS member). He helped a DIS friend with their luggage.

Thanks again Angie. I did see somewhere that being a Canadian actually made the St T morning a little better as our line was shorter! Good tip about the porter too, dh HATES using porters (territorial as well as cheap ) but if there's a good reason...

The lines can be long. Last year our porter just cut right thru the lines and whisked us thru. They take your form, check it quickly to make sure it is complete and hand it to the customs agent also. It is well worth the $2 per bag we give them. (some where between $10 and $20 for us)

Big discussion on this one on the board. Brunch we add $5 per person (total of $10 for the 2 of us) since, yes, at least a portion of the fee for eating there goes to the servers. We increase that to $10 per person for dinner. The service is superb and the food wonderful. Our servers have not seemed disappointed with our tips and it does not break our bank. Remember that they add 18% for any alcohol purchased. DCL official word is that the tip is included in the fee. We have always given a little more because they treat us SO good. Tea would be the same amount as brunch in our world.

No sorry, by the time I logged on it showed 1-2 and then it would not let me confirm at all. So I have to get one when I get on. I also think, unless you are linked with a res number, you could only book how many adults were in your party.

I never did say it was any of you. I specifically addressed my comments to the someone who created a new account, posted that me saying I was going to be wearing a thong was inappropriate or some such nonsense, and has not posted again in weeks. If that someone was so offended by my thong comment, surely they would have or will make a similar comment as mine. If not, it will just confirm my feelings on that someone. To me there just appears to be a double standard in this thread.

I felt saying something about liking a good spanx from time to time to me was inappropriate and certainly in the context used was not talking about a brand of clothing. Forgive me if I am a little sensitive on issues like these.

You know, everyone was just joking around about a BRAND name of clothing and making a play on words. What happened earlier with a "certain someone" creating a new account is in the past and we have not seen or heard from them. Nobody was trying to offend anyone, it was just a joke and a play on words and there was nothing else about it. It's sad when we can't even joke around on here without people getting upset.

Once again I don't think any of us were the ones that questioned you on that and all we ask is that you direct your anger at the right place.
