I called, and DCL says the only do it for dinner...I mentioned that they do it for brunch also. I may try back later.

Yes, they are, but I and use coupons and hit clearance!! I prefer the prices at Fashion Bug. I used to love Modern Women, which is now Catherines. But heck, they are all owned by the same company now. Just different merchandise and prices. The Charming group.

We have an 8 and I expected to stay where we are.. so it was no surprise we did just that..

We are having a huge dilemma trying to figure out how to ensure TAR is recorded while we are on our trip. Because of Football, 60 minutes starts and ends late. Thus in turn, TAR starts and ends late, so we have to manually figure out a start and end time.

I just hope the Goth couple are not eliminated and we somehow miss DVR their show.

Just record Cold Case which follows it...that's what I plan ondoing.

Ok, so I've spent the last half hour going through my computer and I can't find it anywhere, but a couple of years ago, we went to Carmel for the day. We walked down by the beach and there were all kinds of "characters" out. Well, there was this one couple who had a little white poodle and they'd dyed the ears on the thing neon pink. I have a picture somewhere... I just can't find it But this definitely reminded me of that pink poodle.

You'll have to do it whether you plan on getting off the ship or not. Immigration has to clear the entire ship systemwide before they'll let anyone debark.

Last time we did the Eastern, US citizens didn't have to get up for it. I saw that other post and thought maybe the person was confused as to the question cause he/she was obviously not referring to the same cruise as the OP.

Someone else posted that you still have to do the St Thomas one, but they've done away with the one back at Port Canaveral the day we arrive back.

I asked the same question, and I think there were about 5 or 6 of us...but then I got lazy, or forgetful or something! So, yep, for sure, count me in.

Also wondering if anyone still working on brunch (or dinner or tea for that matter) would like to "link" with dh and I? Seems like there might be more options for parties of 3/4 than parties of 2 lately. We don't chew with our mouths open, I promise!

Ok, TMI for the dhs, put on the glasses I was trying on my formal with dd (we were having a dressup party) and I pulled out the heavy-duty shiny-gold "shapewear" undergarment, which she has never seen. I told her it was my "fancy panties" to go with my fancy dress. She was in awe..."why can't little girls have fancy panties?" She also has a fascination for pretty bras, one day she saw me with a similarily shiny-gold bra (you know what I mean, it's actually nude or beige in lingerie-speak) and looked up with big eyes and said "Mom, I love your golden breasts!"

Spewed coffee on that one!

Good morning! I was 30 pages back catching up, didn't realize any one was here.

I've already got the webcam loaded, I think I'll be spending a lot of time the next few Saturdays watching "my" ship. She's still not in, but at least it's dawn now! (Kind of funny to see it was light here and not there...guess we're in a different time zone for a reason!) Yep, pretty excited!

I often go to bed the same time as the kids, especially on vacation, so I'll be wandering around early, looking for other early risers. You too or is this a fluke?

I love the morning "calm before the storm".

You will likely find Brack out and about taking photos and drinking coffee. DrHug and I will hopefully be sleeping.

Question, can I buy a "themed" autograph book for the kids on board? It'd be nice to have something cruise-y...

They have pretty much filled their original ones with our first two trips.

They do sell autograph books in the store on the ship. I would think they would have DCL on them. Just also want to mention incase anyone here is not aware that you can take pillowcases or photo frame mats to Guest Services, in a plastic baggie with your name and room included and they will have the characters sign it...nice inexpensive souvineer. We had a pillowcase done for DGS last year and so we did not stand in line to get autographs. Just stood in line for the one or two characters he really wanted his photo with.

Immigration/passport question.

I read on the main board about a 6 am wake up call on St Thomas for passport control. I know I'm NOT in the same boat ( ) as the rest of you on that, given that we're "aliens" but in this case it looked like the US citizens had to get up too. True? Dragging people out of bed at 6 am seems a little, well, anti-cruise...we have little interest in St Thomas (less if it means getting up at that hour), if we're not getting off, do we have to do this?

I know there's some sort of pilot program that would affect us Canadians but I'll have to look elsewhere for that info!

Everyone has to get up and clear customs in St Thomas unfortunately. It has been around 7 am for US citizens on our other cruises. It is not too bad, it goes quickly. The timing is because the ship has to be cleared by customs before anyone can leave the ship. We will have been outside the US (in St Marteen) and are returning to a US territory, thus the customs clearance.

Everyone has to show their face and ID, including the little ones. Showing up in jammies is fine! US citizens just once in St Thomas, then just again as you exit the ship after picking up your luggage, with our customs form filled out and ID at that point. Get a porter to take you and your luggage thru customs. They know how to negotiate the lines and deal with customs. We met Porter Bob last year (he is a DIS member). He helped a DIS friend with their luggage.
