:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Yeah, this is why we'll always rent in CA. But we did have the presence of mind to keep our house back east when we moved here. So it's waiting for us when we decide to go back. :goodvibes

Smart decision! Where is "back east"?

:lmao: A "nice" 4BR, 2 BA house in LA would cost close to $2 million. :lmao:

The same house back east where I grew up would be under $200,000.

DH bought this house for $159,00 about 10 years ago.. didn't add anythng other then cosmetic stuff... Same house.. 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms.. going rate.. $375,000

Wow! We bought our 4 bedroom, 2 bath ten years ago for $137,500. It was six years old at the time so hasn't needed updating. Would probably sell for about $160,000 today.

You know, I've always wondered about that. So many people post about how they order a couple different appetizers, try a couple different desserts every night, etc. But I've never been able to work up the nerve to do it. I have issues about both being too demanding and looking like a pig. :lmao:

But there's really been times I've wanted to try something, but I'm just not sure if I'd like it... like the escargot. So I don't wanna waste my appetizer on something I'm not gonna enjoy!! :scared1: ;)

The other problem being that DH is kind of a picky eater. So doing the "you order one thing and I'll order another and we'll switch" has never really been an option.

Maybe those of us linking dinners can talk our servers into bringing bunches of stuff for us to try. :woohoo:

A cruise a a perfect time to try new things. They are more than happy to bring you one, two or three of any course including the entree. They also are more than happy to bring one, two, three lobster tails. YUM!

Guess where we're gonna retire?

That being said, liquor is cheap in California, as far as I can tell. I've just now gotten through what we brought back from Mexico last September, so I haven't been shopping for it in a while. But that one was out of Long Beach, so we didn't have to worry about flights. :sad2:

The liquor at Costco in California is just about as cheap as in the Caribbean. :thumbsup2

Ok.. somebody make me order a second lobster tail. popcorn::

Seafood is a cruise treat as well since DH doesn't like that either, so we never go to seafood restaurants. :sad1:

I've been meaning to go check every since you mentioned that! We don't have a membership though, so I might just sneak in asking where the membership counter is and have a look around. There's other things I'd be interested in at Costco too, so if it looks good, I might go ahead and get the membership! :thumbsup2

You can also add a steak on with that and have surf and turf! :thumbsup2 Whatever your heart desires! :goodvibes

Picture this.. 6 adults at Palos.. eatting for 4 hours straight!!!!! Our waiter brought us at least one of everything on the menu that night.. and not small portions either.. They had to roll us out of there we were so stuffed.. :woohoo: Our reservation was 7pm, we got out at 11pm

Good to finally get to chat for a bit. The boards have either slowed down or somethings up with my computer so I'm heading to bed. Good night!

Good Morning..

Funny, we were on such a roll last night and it came to a screetching halt  I, personally, had internet issues..

Today all day long we are suppose to have bad wind and rain.. It's also Only 52 degrees :cold:

I'm on call but my boss said to call between 10:30 and 11:00 am because calling in at 9 for a shift that may start at 10 is techinally a wash.. Since the Mall isn't even open yet..

Fine by me.. More Sleep !!

Have a wonderful day or day

If I'm not working, I'll be back to spend the afternoon with ya.. :surfweb:

Tonight is the night for our first freeze. I have watered the heck out of the basil and am going to be bringing it into the garage at first light. My IL's confirmed they are driving up for Thanksgiving. This is both a blessing and a curse as I do not get along with my FIL at all. I told him if he wants to smoke, he can get hisself into a hotel!

And I TOTALLY called "HEROES" last night.

SPOILER I KNEW that SARK aka Kensei was Adam. If you go back and look at the photo of the twelve, you can tell it is him (David Anders) in profile. Hurray for me.

I changed the color of the font to white so you have to hold your mouse and scroll over what I wrote so as not to spoil for those who have not seen last night's episode.

And Pfishgirl, I was being totally sarcastic about leaving in now 29 days. My sense of humor is very dry which is why I love the British version of "The Office".

I'm sorry you don't get along with you FIL.. :headache:

As for Heroes.. DH & I called it too.. We knew..

As for the sarcasm.. I was hoping it was.. :upsidedow Cause I sooo can't wait til this cruise gets here.. Let's hope the cruise week.. doesn't fly by too fast.. :cloud9:

...So, maybe this is too much work at this point, does anyone want to consider a group tea? Dh will go if I get the booking, but tea--you know--he's not that interested in wasting a few hours of cruise time on cucumber sandwiches.

YES YES YES, anything at PALO for me right now. Count me in for 2
