I bought a pirate dress online, although I may need to lose a few pounds to get into it. One of my DD's friends looked at the dress, then looked at me, and asked "is that for YOU??" Then she said, "Is that why you're on a diet?" Then she gave me a look, and said "I'm just SAYING!!" :lmao:

Wendy this cracked me up. THanks for the morning giggle. I have two sizes in my closet right now, can't decide whether to shoot for the smaller one or live with the larger one!!

Don't you hate it when you buy your kid a cute stuffed animal in a darling outfit, and they RIP the outfit off and throw it away?? :confused3

Naked Barbies. Naked princesses. I am NOT buying dd any more of those dolls until she ceases to be such an exhibitionist!! Stuffies are much better, they generally have their clothes sewn on.

I gave up trying to get into my wench dress. :sad2: I have a skirt and loose puffy blouse that I dress up with jewelery to make a wench outfit. The skirt stretches..............:rolleyes1

OK folks, I'm back in the land of the living after a horrible migraine attack yesterday (yes, I ate some chocolate without even thinking!).

Now, let's see if I can get caught up here.

I have been on this board for several years now and have never had any problems. I have never had any reason to be "hidden". My account name is my real name. I have chatted with and met some very wonderful people in that time. This thread is no exception.
:3dglasses
My details here are all real, too. I discovered that, when I searched my own name in Google a lot of my details came up anyway. There's no point in trying to hide!

Beth, we watched the Breeders Cup today. Good move giving those tickets to the boss. That track sure looked sloppy.

He said he had a good time--he lost $24.00 on a horse, he had to pay $8.00 for parking and then walk through the pouring rain, but he was there and he loved it. Those tickets were good for quick approval of one more vacation day for me!

I just discovered the DCL pictures of the day and am having a great time looking at those with the boys, even though they have no idea we are going, they think that I am just showing them pictures of the ocean, but they keep wondering why Disney world (meaning the disney characters)are at the ocean.

I am so addicted to that thread! That's one of the reasons we chose a 7-night cruise this time. Jim saw some pictures of the islands and he was sold.

A little of topic but has anyone ever tried the Pizzone from pizza hut?
Every time I see that commercial it make my mouth water.

Yes...it's awesome! Unfortunately, we no longer have any Pizza Huts nearby. Both of them went out of business:guilty:. On the other hand, that's one less temptation to eat things I shouldn't!

OMG I was just looking at my ticker and only 42 days left :scared1: :scared1:
I haven't even started packing yet

I still have a business trip to get through before I can consider cruise packing. But that's alright, because I'm a last minute packer anyway. I learned that from traveling for years while I was involved in politics, and someone would call and say "We need you in ..... and you need to be ready for black tie, a pool party and a golf outing." I can just reach into my closet and organize quickly. I've never gotten anywhere and discovered that I forgot anything important, either!

Sorry but I don't. If I can locate our Navigators I'll check out the time.
IIRC, we went to the tree lighting on our way to the early show, so maybe it was around 5:30? Of course, we haven't cruised in two years, so it may have changed.

OK, I did it! I read all the posts and got all caught up. Now I'm going to go and do some :laundy:. I think maybe we DIS'ers are obsessed with it! Of course, if I don't do it, I'll have to go to work tomorrow in some very strange combination of clothing!

I'll be back later.

Beth

Marsha,
I won't say "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha" if you promise not to say "Judy, Judy, Judy". (how many times have I heard that? too many)
I am sitting in our Mickey Room and Pal Mickey is looking over my shoulder. I am gald he can't read because he has no extra clothes, just the pants he came with. He would be very jealous if he knew his kin has complete wardrobes. I actually looked for some clothes in DTD in September and they didn't have any. :confused3 I haven't decded yet if he is cruising with us.
Check out Wendy's (JS mom) blog and join us for DISmeets, the shower, and group photos.

I hope your migraine is gone. Was the chocolate good?
Actually, the chocolate was awful. I wasn't thinking when I helped myself to a handful of little chocolate candies while we were watching TV. I'm usually really careful about stuff like that. REALLY good chocolate is usually worth the suffering. For example, I knew that the chocolate souffle at Palo would kill me, so I took my medication before dinner, enjoyed my meal, spent a little time on deck afterward, and then went to bed and slept off the headache.

I'm feeling much better. Migraines leaved me exhausted for about a day, so today I'm just hanging out and not doing much of anything except that laundry!

Beth

I'm Baccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Who Missed me ??? :yay:

I need to go back to page 476 cause that is where I left off..
I am soooo proud of you all :sad1: So many pages to read...

Oh and I went ahead and bought myself a pair of Mickey Pirate ears :sad2: I still can't believe I spent $16.00 on them :scared:

cool, got the link for the blog and checked it out. awesome.

thanks for helping me indulge in my Disney fantasy by liking my dressed up Pal Mick and plush Minnie.

My Pirates costume is something I thru together finding pieces different places. so its not "official" style but it works <G>

Definitely will have on a lime green tshirt the first day. It will probably be my generic DCL logo shirt though instead of the official this cruise logo. but one never knows what I will do <G>

here is pic that another DISer made for me and snuck it on my door during the Sept cruise. Gotta love it:

here is pic of our Door pics/signs for the Sept cruise. Ok so we went overboard. But we had to have more than we had in June. so i think in sept we needed like 16 at least. we had two inside on back of door and one on bathroom door as well. one sign inside to write the name of stateroom host/hostess that says THANKS for caring for us. that way each time the host/hostess came in/out she/he saw the sign saying thanks.

ok now pic of door Sept cruise:

of course I took pic of each sign but if posted each it may break the boards <G>

MRSA is all over the news here. I am starting to get a little paranoid about it. I know there are germs and bugs all around that can harm us, but I hope DCL's disinfecting standards are up to snuff especially in the kid's clubs.

I'm sure that DCl does the best that can possibly be done. It appears though it not the cleanliness of the area that is the main contributing factor but personal cleaniness.

About 85% of all invasive MRSA infections were associated with health care settings — two–thirds of which surfaced in the community among people who were hospitalized, underwent a medical procedure or resided in a long–term care facility within the previous year, according to the study.

In contrast, the other 15% of reported infections were considered to be community-associated — which means that the infection occurred in people without documented health care risk factors.

Spread of MRSA infections preventable
Schools nationwide are reporting outbreaks of Staphylococcus aureus skin infections. Some of them are MRSA infections, which has recently caused two student deaths. But the spread of these infections is preventable "through rigorous hygiene and cleanliness," says Betsy McCaughey, Ph.D., chairman of the New York City-based Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths (RID).

Since most of these infections are being spread in school gyms and locker rooms as athletes with minor cuts and abrasions share equipment, there are steps you, your family and the schools can take to reduce the risk.

........ clean hands frequently.this was in all 10 steps in some form

So it appears that the best thing we can do to help not get any infection is to keep ourselves clean and not be worried about DCL cleaning.

in looking at your signature looks like you both are going on the same cruise in Sept 08. at least looks that way but hey nothing ever looks right or normal to me, as I am not "normal" LOL
