Ok... funny story.

DH and I put pretty much all our purchases on one credit card. It's an airline miles card and we can wrack up some free flights this way. "All our purchases" on a daily basis amounts to groceries, gas, eating out a couple times a week, etc. But, in the last two weeks, I've put on the cruise, flights for the cruise, the hotel for the night before, travel insurance and two additional airline tickets for us to go spend Christmas with my grandmother in Alabama.

He's been working a lot lately and has really let his wardrobe go, so he decided he was ready for a change and asked a couple of "trendy" people he works with to go shopping with him today and get him outfitted.

Well, they were apparently burning up the shopping center because halfway through the day, I get a text message on my phone from him that the Credit Card company has placed a freeze on our card from all the "unusual spending trends" lately. :lmao: :rotfl2: He had to call and go through all our security information with them to verify it hadn't been stolen by some crazed Disney fan taking a whole new wardrobe on vacation with them. :lmao:

I'm thinking I'm going to give them a call before the cruise and tell them not to freeze it again if they happen to see some purchases coming from the Caribbean ;)

That is funny! We have gotten those calls before and I always take a minute to thank them for looking out for me as well!

Same... then I get into the vicious cycle of buying organizational tools for all the supplies I have that I never use! :rolleyes1

One picture I want to remember to take is one I saw posted somewhere else... just my toes at the end of a hammock looking out over the water at Castaway Cay.

We have a couple of those and one with my knee bent and our Corona hat on the knee looking out over the water at Serenity Bay.

Discussion question!

I was just wondering... for the men in the group, who's doing tux vs suit for the dress up nights? DH will be doing suit as he hardly ever wears it and at least this way it gets some use. I also like that we can kinda dress it up or dress it down depending on the night. I don't think he'd feel comfortable using a tux for all 3 nights - formal, semi-formal, and Palo.

Also.. who's dressing up for pirate: night? We might be doing Palo that night, so would probably skip bringing the gear just to save on space.

We plan the suit for DrHug this trip vs. the tux which he has done before. I think we will just do tropical this time for Pirate night.

On our first cruise I only wore a suit. Before the next cruise I found a very good deal on a tux so I bought it. I have worn the tux at least once on our cruises and I'm sure that my DW will want me to this time. :cool2:

I do plan to dress up as Mr Gibbs again.

Well, since we will be sitting with Mr. Gibbs at dinner we may have to do a bit of pirate dress ourselves!

Yesterday was our 40th anniversary and we came over to the Oregon Coast for a couple of days in the motorhome to celebrate. We called DD and DSIL and found they were camping at the coast also doing a little hunting. So we came on over to the same campground they where they are staying. We played Yahtzee last night and they are over this morning for brunch and to watch the Seahawk game.

I agree. They did stop it once a few years ago when our number had been "skimmed" at a gas station and was immediately being tried to charge something like $1600 in online orders. So, while it's a pain, I don't complain too loudly.

Oh, congrats again Angie on the actual day. I see someone else is in Oregon too, just noticing that. Who?? I'm getting confused...We used to live in BC, same time zone. :)

Well we are one step closer to DVC. :cool1:

the money involved in this is making me think completely through it.

We did too and it took us a long time to make the commitment. I hope it makes as much sense to you as it did us. :thumbsup2

Your scrapbook really is a reflection of YOU. I also am not very creative, and my scrapbooks are not elaborate, but they are MINE and therefore perfect! I know yours will be too! Just jump in there and make YOUR scrapbook

:thumbsup2 Good point Angie!

So I'm not keeping track very well...

Who has rented/is renting formalwear? Did someone say it was about $120? THrough whom?

Ok, dh is sitting next to me and has questions. We've seen so many comments about how you can get anything...so, really, could he say, for example, I'd like my steak cut extra thick, with bearnaise sauce? And I read somewhere if there was something you liked you could request it over and over...like shrimp. Dd would have a shrimp appie every night, or sushi, if it was available.

And I know you can get Mickey bars, anyone see the Minnie bars? (Strawberry.) They're dd's favourite.

Ok, enough for now. :goodvibes Pretty quiet today.

Disney uses http://www.cruiselineformal.com/index.html for their delivered formal wear. You order it up, and they deliver it to your stateroom.

I'm not sure about things like ordering a steak cut extra thick. With the number of plates they're putting out every night, I'm pretty sure they bring everything aboard pre-cut in standard sizes. But he could definitely order two of them if he wanted them. As far as the same appetizer every night, I know they try to accommodate, but there might be a night or two where they just aren't serving a particular thing in any of the restaurants, so it might not be available.

I've never heard anyone mention the Minnie bars, but you could always ask! Like I said, they do try to fill requests as much as possible.

Never rented one so I can't help there.

I don't know about "anything" but they sure try. We had an Indian waiter one cruise and we mentioned we liked curry and a mango creme drink that is an Indian favorite. He went back and had the chef make us some. :woohoo:

I've seen the Mickey bars but the Minnie's. They may have them though. Just ask. :thumbsup2

Well, okay! Don't expect a Captain Jack though.:rotfl: Oh, you weren't? Okay! I will think of somethng.

Dennis it will be fun no matter what you wear .....

....... just as long as it's not your skivvies! :lmao:

It is a great deal. Our membership has paid for itself already, assuming we would have done all of the cruises and stuff. I don't think we would have been able to though, because it would have cost us way more. I keep trying to talk Angie into "just a few more points". It's cheaper than a nursing home. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: .

Hey! Disney should open a Mickey's Mansion, or something like that. How cool would a Disney Old Folk's home be?:confused3
