Went to go and get DH and he called his flight has been delayed now till 5:22 and it is snowing here now..............SO we are not leaving till about 4:00 now to go and get him!!!!!!!!

I hope you hadnt left allready...I would check the flight online before heading out again!

Well I broke out the tools again, removed the back cover, (after disconnecting the power) crazy I am, stupid I'm not ;) , And determined the water solenoid was shot. With my ohm meter I can see that it is shorted.

A twenyfive dollar part, my own labor, and I saved a service call ( not a bad day) priceless.

Part is on order, will be here in a week or less.

Wow!!! Well done Ed!!! I am most impressed - I've been waiting for DH to examine the broken coffee machine since New Year... ;)

Good Deal! My dh was out of town and a couple days before christmas so I hope I can trust the repairman...He lives in our neighborhood so hoping so!

your a very caring parent and there is nothing wrong with that. ;) my parents were in your position too. when i was on my frist cruise this past august, my parents let me do what ever i wanted to do on the ship but they gave me some ground rules. i was 15 then, im 16 now LOL. they gave me my freedom on the ship to hang out with the other teens but when it came to getting off the ship and going on the excursions in Nassau, i had to be with my parents at all times. i never left their sight. but i'll be 17 by the cruise and my parents are probably gunna give me the same rules and stuff. im gunna be in the Stack probably every time im on the ship LOL so i hope i can meet teens my age or around my age. i hope i can get to know Samuel and the other teens that are on the DIS going on this cruise.

Awww thanx, Samantha!!! That's very sweet of you... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Karen, do you use a travel agent in the US or one over there? I am curious..I have always booked everything myself but now with the OBC's that everyone is offering I have transferred to a ta. I like having control...Need to get over that! I moved our August trip to DU...

Just wondering who most people currently use...

That really stinks Kristin. How far of a drive is it for you?

Paula-

Since I used to be a TA, I usually book all my own. Last cruise, I gave the ressie to a friend so she could get commission but I did most of the legwork and got no OBC. This time I transferred with Kristin's TA to get the OBC. I'm a ressie control freak too but I suppose when it comes to cruising with no pre/post cruise stay other than 1 night, it's pretty cut and dry.

Strange weather. It's sunny and 43 here at that moment. We spent the last couple of hours outside running around the yard. The kids have friends over - it's chaos here!

We wandered over to Wawa and walked into Tony Meola, former goalie for the U.S. National Soccer Team, and considered a pretty big soccer "legend" - if there is such a thing here! Fairly exciting day for the boys! DD is playing on the swings - it's nice to hear the sounds of kids laughing and playing in the middle of the winter.

It almost feels like spring today!:) Almost all the snow has melted, lots of people are out and about, and the carwash lines are super long.

Paula, I initially booked the August cruise thro' DCL and then transferred to DU for the OBC. I also made various requests to DU concerning the ressie and they were able to sort them out for me. I thought I liked having control but turns out I prefer others sorting out my niggles for me! :worship:

For this cruise, I booked directly with DU. I kinda wished I'd waited and been able to take advantage of Kristin's TA and her awesome OBC BUT I've been happy with my DU service, so I'm not too dismayed... ;)

Paula,

I know the feeling, for most of my trips I don't use a TA as I like total control, but when it comes to cruising, I decided to use a TA, as its nice to have another resource to help me.

This cruise I am using Kristin's TA. I found her responces fast and I got a great OBC too.

Yes it is very nice here...I have the windows open but it is getting warm in here! I would hate to think I have to turn on the air conditioning...but that is Texas! You can have heat and air all in one day!:sunny:

Thank you, Basic electrical I will tackle , but the large items I leave for the experts. In my younger days I used to repair power supplies.

I am also a Amateur Radio operator ( Ham radio) that is.
