YEAH!! That must be a HUGE relief. I know I was stressed until ours came yesterday, because we leave August 2nd, to explore Spain a few days.

Call bank -done
Place hold on mail - done
Place vacation hold on newspaper -
Pack -
Scan and make copies of important documents -
Print door magnets -

I am sure there is more I am missing.

I moved my things to my new office yesterday and when I got there, no one had cleared it out. The previous person still has all his things in it as well as lots of trash. One more major thing to get done before I leave. It was hard enough leaving my old office after 25 years, but to walk in and find the mess was just icing on the cake.

Donna... sorry to hear about your mess in the new office ! But I know it'll be nice to walk into a nicely organized office after the vacation. I hate coming home to a dirty house !

Again, thanks for all the time and effort you have put into this Dis Group ! I can't believe we'll all be meeting in 10 days !! I'm excited about seeing my Grandson this Fri ( he lives in GA ). Then we fly out of PHL the next day !!

Thanks for the heads up on this --- I justed checked our reservation and they have switched us to the Main Dining Seating as well - which really messes up all of the plans we have made and carefully confirmed over the past few weeks. Does anyone know what is going on with this -- or experience the same?

I just checked my resi on disney cruise website and found that they changed my dinner time to Main dining. This now messes up our spa treatments that we have throughout the cruise. You may want to check to see if this has this happened to any of you as well. I will call them tomorrow. We have always had late dining so we could site see more.

As a helpful idea for those wanting more drawer space, I picked up the hanging closet sweater shelves (they fold flat and can be hung from the closet rod) (they are sold in the same isle as the shoe racks) We have a Cat 11 and are going to need it as there is no trunk to store clothes in.

Go figure, they change our seating but don't upgrade our Cat. Didn't want early dining but would love an upgrade to a 10. But at least we will be on the cruise.

Hi everyone! I have been MIA for a couple of weeks -- business trips and family vacations. I am too lazy to go back and read some of the Trip Reports, so if anyone can assist with the following, please do so:

1. Can anyone recall if VAT is added to our excursion prices? If so, that stinks because isn't the vat 20%? And, will VAT be added to everything we do on the ship -- SPA, Purchases, etc?

2. I may not have time to make tags to go along with our gift exchange -- so I believe our family gives out on the first sea night -- if you get a gift without a "from" tag -- that be from our family! We will be passing out one thing for the kids and one thing for the door, so keep an eye out.

ANyone else stressed? Hubby and I tried to list all of the clothes we will need (hoping to wear things twice, with a DIS laundry service thrown in there) and sort of had a meltdown. And, I am taking a pharmacy of pills, potions, syrups, nebulizers, etc. that will likely take up a small carry on!!

I think I'm going to have to get the bigger suitcase out...that is, if I can get it past my husband w/o him seeing it !! GINA

We haven't been on Disney since they added Ocean Quest. Is it supervised ?

I don't think VAT is added onto the excurisions but I could be wrong. I do know that VAT is added to everything on the ship (pictures, drinks, spa, gift shops, etc.). Earlier cruisers said to make sure only one person makes all the purchases on the ship and then claim the VAT refund if you go over the the minimum amount (shouldn't be hard).

Yes, I'm stressed!!! But I'm working on my to do list!

Gina - I think the Ocean Quest is supervised but not sure. I can't ask DS as he is away on a service project trip this week.

Almost there !!! Don't stress out...the only important thing is to remember your DOCS and Passport ! This is truly a trip of a lifetime. I am so thankful that we are able to enjoy such a cruise !! It'll be great already knowing folks !

I've been reading how horribly HOT it is over there, esp in Italy !

Bring mister fans, cool paks, water, small coolers w/ ice & water, mini umbrellas for shade, sunblock, hats ,cotton clothes-loose fitting !!!

It is hard to predict, but best to go prepared for some rain. In reading all the posts about previous Med cruises, it seems they all have had some rain.
