08/08/07 Well, Olbia Monkey's Uncle! We're cruisin' on the 10nt Med Cruise!

Thanks nordkin!

It's fun to look at the differences in everyone's excursion choices!

Sorry for the error. I will correct it later as the system will not let me edit the post right now.

You can now see the Navigators on AllEars ...thanks, Deb!!!! :dance3: And I've already printed them out ! It's the 11-day cruise...wonder what the difference will be in our cruise as far as evening activities ??

I looked at them briefly. I was trying to figure out where we would eat when we miss our early dining time due to excursions. Looks like Pizza, Burgers, etc will be available in addition to Topsiders being open a little later.

I can't believe that they are having Michael Harrelson again!!! This will be our fifth DCL cruise and we have seen him every time and his act never changes! Enough already! I guess we can go to bed early that night! Sorry, gripe over.

Thanks for adding us! I am so delighted that quite a few children will be my daughter's age. JeanieP, thanks for offering an instant friend!!! She was excited as well. Up until I went on Cruise Critic and then here I wasn't very excited. I know, sounds crazy, but the thought of being gone 3 1/2 weeks was not exciting for me. I am now getting very excited and I think my husband is finally relieved that I found you all. Now, however, I think I'm going to be sick, I was just in the 6/16 sight looking for a blog and one of the groups is waiting for a passport and has had to reschedule all of their flights and pre-trip to London. I wasn't worried until just now. I sent my passport renewal in March (that was good until December but due to the new regs it needed to be renewed). My husbands expired in Feb 08 and he missed it by two days, we realized in April and had his expedited, which arrived 10 days later. Is anyone else in this same boat? The passport agency doesn't want you to call them unless you are leaving in the next two weeks, but after reading their experience, I'm thinking I may need to break the rules. UGH! :sad2:

Also we are first seating for dinner. Thanks. Jocelyne

Vailcruiser - best of luck with your passport situation! I would be concerned too! I'm sure it will work out OK!

Nordkin! The excursions list looks FANTASTIC! I wanted to just put out a reminder that every time astroth says "DW" - that's me. :) I think he failed to mention that in his posting......:rolleyes1

I can't believe how quickly this is coming up now. Jocelyne, I am crossing my fingers for your passport situation. There was a backup here and we were waiting a few months for ours. Fortunately, they finally arrived, but I think we also applied back in March. Sorry I have no advice.

Thank you for letting me know.

As far as the gift exchange, I was thinking of something small to deliver to the staterooms on different days so everyone has a little surprise waiting for them. I know we enjoyed this in the past. Once I figure out from the posting who wants to participate, I will post that as well.

I just read a brief review of the Calanques of Cassis excursion in Marseilles. The person said it was her favorite excursion of the trip. That's one we just switched to, so that's got me "re-excited!"

I love looking at the update list for our cruise. I've told my kids that when we all meet they'll have some great new friends.

I noticed on one of the Med Navigators that DCL offers a week pass to the Rainforest at the SPA onboard. Anyone have an idea of what that costs and an opinion as to if it's worthwhile? :scratchin

I plan on taking the list a couple of steps further and list the days people are arriving in Barcelona under a separate heading, list the hotels under a separate heading, and attempt to have a count of children by male/female and age. It may take me a couple of days to do this. At first glance I did notice there are few of us staying at the Grand Marina and a few at the Hilton Del Mar. It will be interesting to see how it all comes out.

Hi everyone,

Please count us in on the gift exchange -- our stateroom is 2632. :thumbsup2

We arrive only one day early -- Le Meridian Barcelona, Las Ramblas. We have two little ones -- DS (4) and DD (6).

The only thing my daughter has specifically asked to do this cruise is tea with Alice and Mad Hatter, and I am going to try and book that for the second sea day because we have spa treatments the first sea day. According to the Navigators, we can get tickets at Guest Services on embarkation day. I hope this is true.

We are early dining and Palo dinner on Day 3, Palermo.

Thanks for putting this all together Nordkin!

Nordkin, thank you for all that you are doing for this cruise.
Count us in on the gift exchange. We are in 8062 and my in laws are in 8064.

When Disney's vendors cancelled 2 of my excursions, I was very disappointed, to say the least. I could not get our second choice for both because either it was booked or it too was canceled. Then, I found this disboard post: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1184080
It lists many private tour guides/companies. I have booked a private tour for Rome and one for Florence. I only found one company for Florence that would drive to LaSpezia. Both companies I am using answered emails quickly and both are tailoring our trip to where we want to go. I hope this information may help others.

 Nordkin...we still haven't received our cabin # . Are we the only ones ? We have a Gty Cat 6. Anyway, count us in on the gift exchange.I already have an idea...something I'm going to make for my Dis friends ! But I'm still not clear on the fish extender. I know what the fish is, but what do you hang on it ??:grouphug:

We do not have our cabin assignment either. We have 2 Cat 9's GTY. I am also making something for the gift exchange. Here is a picture of a fish extender from another thread. It just has pocket type things to put things in. I have never had one before and still received everything from the gift exchange. It was placed on top of the fish. I have heard the Dollar Store has them.

Count us in on the gift exchange as well. It sounds like fun. We are in room number 2629. Can you all believe it we are only 7 weeks away now. I can't wait. Nordkin - YOu are the best for doing all this. I really think that it is going to help us all get to know eachother and it gives us something else to look forward to. We are arriving a day early and staying at the Hotel Atenea Mar.

Good luck planning everyone and see you in a few weeks. :figment:

Momma4v3 -
I saw your post about a private tour in LaSpezia (Florence). We also booked one for this port. I was wondering which company you used. We are using prestigerent. They will come to LaSpieza for us, but it made the trip more expensive.
