06/24/2006 - Special Western Cruise - Who Else!?

Your DH won't be the only DH napping :rotfl: I'm looking forward to when my boys take their naps so that I can get some R&R ;)

We don't have children yet maybe soon, however, DH is like a big kid. ;)
Im sure your R&R is well needed!

I called on resorts, I can get Beach Club villas for 1/2 the price of beach club. I need to check and see if they have pool priveleges @ stormalong.

Musicgirl - OK this is scary, I was in the flag corp both in High School and College. That is how I met my husband, he marched right behind me in band. I started in band playing the flute but figured you couldn't hear them in the marching band so I switched to the flag corp. I loved the flags and can't wait to get my girls interested in it. I remember when the captains were announced, there were always tears. Good Luck.

luvcruising - What is the All Inclusive at San Fransisco Beach? Who is that through? I was concerned about doing something on our own because the cruise ship will have to tender and from last I read, the return time to the boat is early evening. How far away is this? Also, I have a DD that is 8 and has been emailing a few friends from the board. If your DD is interested in meeting someone before the cruise they could email each other. Just let me know.

I can't believe all the postings today, are we excited or what!! :cool1:

Susan

Good luck Charla I hope they will allow you to use the pool. That would be a great savings.

Great news - BCV guests to have access to Stormalong Bay! I will be calling back soon to book BCV :Pinkbounc

I found this on Cozumel Cruise Excursions.com:

Playa San Francisco Beach Club is one of Cozumel's best known beach clubs and we are excited to offer you this exclusive all inclusive beach break, designed especially for the cruise ship market. Playa San Francisco is one of Cozumel's most famous stretch of beaches. The Beach Club is located directly next to the Paradise Beach Club and a quick 15 minute ride from your cruise ship port.

Your all inclusive beach break at Playa San Francisco Beach includes reserved seating on the beach, regardless of what time your ship arrives. The chairs are comfortable and all come with umbrellas for those seeking a little shade. Another popular feature is our beautiful freshwater seaside swimming pool .

This All Inclusive Cozumel Beach Break at Playa San Francisco is open from 9:00am-5pm. You are free to come and go from the club at your leisure.

Your all inclusive package includes a FREE OPEN BAR (drinks are included in the price) all day with unlimited domestic cocktails and beverages. This includes such favorites as Pina Coladas, Rum Punch, Daiquiris, Sex on the Beach, house mixes with Rum, Vodka, Gin, Bottled National Beer, all sodas, and purified water.

Included in your beach break is a delicious and freshly prepared lunch, which includes chips and salsa and your choice of either Chicken or Beef Fajitas, or Grilled Local Catch of the Day. For kids, or the young at heart, you can enjoy a Cheeseburger in Paradise or an All American Hot Dog with fries. Our waiters can serve you on the beach or at one of our shaded dining tables.

The beach club has bathroom facilities where you can change following your arrival to the club. Fresh water showers are available to rinse off as well.

Thats the exact San Fransisco beach description I found. There is a forum on cruisecritics.com that talk about this beach and Paradise beach which is next door. It seems an easy thing for the family to do during the day. To book the all inclusive, it must be online before you arrive. $40 per adult, $20 per child and under 4 is free.

Thanks for posting the price...I hadn't got that far yet. If Chankanaab is not open that sounds like the place for us!

One last thing, the people who booked SF beach through cozumelcruiseexcursions.com were very pleased. You book with a deposit and pay the balance when you arrive at the club. I inquired and found out there is plenty of available space that day. :woohoo:

There will be 2 Carnival Cruise ships in Port that day with the Magic. One arrives at 9:30 AM the other at 1 PM. That is good for us. There shouldn't be any large cruise crowds early in the day. We are the only cruise ship scheduled for Costa Maya on the day we visit. That too is a bonus.

Wow have you all been busy! I had a crazy week at school, placement for next year, etc, etc,! We teachers do have to make up flood days until June 26th, so I had to write a formal letter requesting to use personal days for the cruise!

Welcome to all newbies! :Pinkbounc
About Cozumel: You might want to check out recent reviews, due to hurricanes! Many of the beaches lost most of their sand, and have very rocky shore now. Read reviews our our dis site and cruise critic. Check for the date the review was written!

We'll also be at the Radisson on Friday, but won't be there until around 4pm
Trip from Orlando is only 1 hour.
Happy Memorial Day to All :cool1:

party: party: party: School's out for summer!!
Wow you guys have been busy! Welcome to any new recruits!

I have started packing! Well, kinda. I have all my shorts outfits laid out in a huge pile and have thrown misc. junk into another suitcase. I have a list of all my clothes for our whole 2 week trip, but haven't started on DD's. I finally heard from the place that I ordered my pirate shirt from and they were out :sad2: So I quickly looked on Ebay and found an outfit. Hoping it will fit as DD wants to dress as pirates for dinner. Does anyone know if the store by Pirates of the Carribean is open? That would be my back up. I could get a t-shirt there. :confused3
Anyone received docs yet? Mine has to go to my TA first so they will take longer.

No cruise docs here. I don't know about the POTC store being open, but with the movie premiere so soon I would strongly suspect that you could get a POTC shirt pretty easily. Our Disney store has some POTC clothes in kid sizes. I'll probably get DS a shirt from there.

We just found out my parents got upgraded from 7004--porthole room to 7562-which is a balcony and more midship--since it is their 50th anniv that's a nice surprise for them.

Is anyone doing that all inclusive in Cozumel--sounds good.

That's almost packing :) I've got a table set up in the spare room for the same thing. I've got an excel list started too....that is too funny.
OK, so I am an accountant. :surfweb: What is your excuse?

Well, I'm at school, hard at work you can see!!! Just waiting to make some girls cry when they don't get to be an officer on my flag corps. That's always a grand time!
What are flag corps? Just trying to see how we can utilize your talents on the ship :dancer:

I have PM'd a couple people with this, but now that I have seen it on the DIS main board I figured it must be OK. I was worried about the "advertising/solicitation" rule.

Passporters just came out with an E-book "PassPorter's Disney Cruise Clues: First Class Tips for Disney Cruise Line Trips" ... it is different than the Passporters Guide, since it is a compilation of tips submitted by past cruisers. Even after four cruises, I found some stuff I didn't know! You can order it from http://www.passporter.com/dcl/cruiseclues.asp and download the Adobe Acrobat file for only $4.95...great value for a very low price. You can download it and not wait for shipping time!

It is cheaper than some drinks on DCL. :drinking1 I read it and loved it!

Charla, I had heard rumors too about Chank. being closed still and about the beach at Uvero. BTW, it is about a 45 min bus ride to Uvero.

BB-You lucky duck being done with school. We've got 6 teaching days to go!!!

Marie-Flag Corps or aka color guard are the groups that provide the visual portion of a marching band performance with flags and props.
Perhaps I can hold the flag to lead our groups around so you all don't get lost!! :lmao:

Susan- I actually played flute in the marching band, kind of weird!! Oboe player by concert band/ orchestra.

Ok-ready for a good laugh. I was actually a $5 bet. Bill and his roommate were walking behind me after our Intro to Education class. Bill made a comment and his roommate bet him that he couldn't get me to go out with him.

How's that for romance!!!! :rotfl2:

If you make it to Disney early there is a new section in the World of Disney Store at the Market Place of Downtown Disney that is all Pirates Of The Caribbean. pirate: You will find some cool stuff there! -David-
