For those of you who like to plan ahead, I have the 2006-2007 school calendar for Rhode Island. (you know that tini-tiny state up in New England) 
Most public schools in Rhode Island will be following this schedule, give or take a day or two around the winter holiday.
School starts Aug 28, 2006
Winter holiday: Dec 25- Jan 1 2007
February Vaca: Feb 19-Feb 23
April Vaca: Apr 16-Apr 20
Last day of school if there is no snow: June 14th
