am I the only one who feels unprepared for this trip? I normally do a ton of research etc. but I have been so busy with moving and packing and DH starting a new job and building a house I haven't had time to do everything I want.

I so need to do some more research. What is everyone doing Key west day? i think we are just walking around on our own.

I feel that way too - but will be fine once we get there. We have been to Key West on this cruise before and we just walk around also. It is a nice town; short walk from the ship; usually the weather is nice and easy to walk around and look in shops or stop for a snack or lunch. Also good to stop at the CVS or Rite Aid in case of any forgotten items; toiletries, sunscreen, gum, snacks, etc. (Pepsi for those that don't like Coke products - my husband). Good for emergencies so there is no panic when packing of what if I forget...

Are you just checking with your travel agent to see if you have a credit? We used DU and i just logged in and it did not say anything, but that page has not changed ever, so i might have to send them an email.

I just saw the credit posted to our credit card acct. It didn't say anything on our DU acct about the credut either. I would check whatever card you used to pay...maybe you will see the credit there! Hope you see good $$ news!

my DD12 is going to be dancing at Disney, including a parade!

I danced in Disney 2 yrs, back in '97 & '98. I also did the parade and had the time of my life. After doing that I auditioned for Disney and was selected as a Disney dancer! I declined and decided to go to college instead.

Hope she has an amazing time!

OH heck no, I am so totally unprepared....have about a million things going on and having a hard time getting the flow of the days into my head.

We are just walking around ourselves, MAYBE renting an electric car because they look like fun , but that's about it.

I just found my over the door shoe holders and two sets of sea bands

I’m so happy I don’t have to buy new ones. Who would have thought, it was in a plastic tote on a shelf in the basement labeled “DVC and Cruise stuff”! I never remember where I put stuff!

Awesome! Always nice to find things before going out and buying replacements (which I always tend to do!).

You are so not the only one! I was going to start a little bit of packing, and finish up FEs this weekend. Mom-in-law called late Thursday night and said she would be coming in Fri-Sun. Thrilled she was able to make it in, but oy! Plans foiled!

We are just going to walk around Key West. Probably take a quick look at the Mel Fisher Museum, definitely a visit to Hemingway's House, and Margaritaville is a must everytime I go to Key West!

That is too cool! Several of my college buddies were in the College Program (Univ of Miami being so close, it was a given some of us went up for that), and loved working there!

I haven't done much planning for this trip either, but it still seems a little surreal for me. I need to get packing since it is getting cold here and we no longer wear most of the things we will pack! Less than 2 weeks and I haven't even started gathering things up yet....I think that is an omen for forgetting something.

On Key West, we have always just walked around on our own, and will probably do the same to save some money. My mom and sister that are coming with us are really looking forward to doing the same thing.

still no cabin assignment...grumble grumble.

Hi All, I havent been on in over a week and have a ton to catch up on. I still dont have our cabin assignment. Are there others who dont or are we the only one? Kids are getting very excited and I am overwhelmed with all that still needs to be done. Got my fish extender today and now it feels more real!!! . We leave on the 18th for 9 days in orlando before the cuise. Cant wait to relax on the ship

I feel the same way, but don’t worry - it will all come together . We are going to do Key West on our own. Maybe the Trolly Tour again if I find coupons on line.

DH and DS went to the Browns game. I’m hoping to gather some stuff for packing - sunscreen, toiletries etc......

Day two of a swim meet. DD12 did great yesterday -- took time off in 2 of 3 events, including more than 4 seconds in her 100 breast stroke!

Getting ready to start soon - I'm not sure I like being the afternoon session. Morning is good because even though you have to get up early, you are done by noon. Her first event isn't until 2:20.

Coming down to the wire and I don't think I've taken a single item off our list of "to dos" And I have to head out of town for 2 days this week.

Soon enough, I'll be on our ship, having a cocktail, RELAXING. I'm ready.

We have three kids DD9, DS5 and DD3

Thank you all for your well wishes. I think they worked. Nutty thing is we had bought tix to the John Mellencamp concert with a bunch of friends last night, so we couldn't NOT go. Unfortunately, we just ended up having dinner, watch Mellencamp's very lame documentary (which they have versus an opening band) and listened to 4 songs and had to leave because my throat felt like I was swallowing broken glass. I couldn't even talk. I was so miserable that I finally got out on the web and found this site where hundreds of people swore to the fact that if you gargle with cayenne (YES, CAYENNE PEPPER) and warm water that it'll kill your sore throat. Well, guess what? I tried it. It hurt like nobody's business, but it WORKED! I'm still crazy tired but no more sore throat! Just a little tidbit for future references.

Rachel - that's soooo cool to have been selected as a Disney dancer!! I turned down a 2-yr contract to be a magician's assistant on Carnival to go to college, so I suppose you and I should sow our wild oats together on this cruise so that we have no regrets.

Gailyn - I'll send you my packing list via email shortly. I've consolidated this over the past few months.

mrszrw - Welcome to our groovy crew! Yea! Another 3-yo to add to the mix.

I can't believe it's LESS THAN 3 WEEKS away!! Woohoo! While I had some time to research and prepare, I somewhat envy those who just joined as you all didn't have to wait so long for D-Day (DCL Day).

What's the best way to get in some shopping and beach time in Cozumel? We definitely want to spend some time on the beach but I'd like to know how the shopping is and if it's worth my while or should we just spend the day on a beach someplace.

Whew, another weekend at an end. I can't decide whether to be happy or sad! On the one hand, it's back to work tomorrow morning, which means up at 4 AM but on the other, one less weekend until we sail! See my delemma?
Luckily it's only a 3 day week for me, but lots to do!

WOW! She did great this weekend! Congrats!

As for your cold, hopefully it means you are getting it out of the way and will be totally healthy for the cruise.

This is the time where I make sure everyone takes their vitamins, drinks the OJ...need to stay HEALTHY!

I am exhausted. DH and I (with help from DS) cleaned out our storage area downstairs and worked our butts off from 10 until 6 tonight, with about an hour break total throughout the day.

We have TONS of stuff that we donated to our local thrift store, and lots more that is hitting the garbage.

We are exhausted, but feel great with all that we accomplished this weekend in cleaning.

Now about that packing...hmmmmm
