“Partial” Insurance Question

I have three consecutive reservations, although only one appears on my conformation letter. I was told that they are all connected together and that I will not have to change rooms. My question would be, can I get insurance on only the first reservation since that goes to the end of my use year? All other points can be “saved” but being at the end of the use year, I would have no tome to reuse those points.
