Will a restaurant that serves a buffet give you a to go box if 2yr old starts to have a meltdown? I don't want to ruin anyone else's meal by making them listen to a tantrum, but since I will have paid for the meal (DDP) I'd like to get a chance to eat it.

I really dont think so, but maybe you could take turns eating while the other parent goes to try to calm the child.

I'm sure no one will let you box food up from an all you eat restaurant, but being a buffet, you should be able to eat before the meltdown, because you don't have to wait to order, and wait for the food to be cooked and served.

Thanks for your help -- I suspected the answer would be no. Hopefully, there will be no meltdowns. It is the place where dreams come true, right?

We had pretty good luck with our 2 year old. Only one problem meal :sad2: It was at LeCellier, the best food that we had on our trip. We did our best to get out of there as fast as we could.

That's what we did. Our ds had several during dinner time. Dh and I would take him outside to calm him down. We would just switch off so the other one could eat and watch our dd too.
