I have so many. I've realized that the best and strongest memories are the "quieter" memories - not always the moments with all the bells and whistles, but the unexpected moments that just happen.
When my youngest, my daughter was about 14 (she just turned 30 - how did that happen??) we had a breakfast ressie at the Brown Derby - I think we got the end of breakfast just before they closed because the restaurant was practically empty. Pluto came over and grabbed my daughter by the hands and started dancing with her, swinging side to side. Well, she was into baggy clothes then and her pants started to slip...and slip...and slip!! and he wouldn't let go of her hands! By the look on her face, she was getting more and more panicked while her brother and I laughed hysterically. I have a great picture of her and Pluto dancing and the look on her face is priceless!
Our first
MVMCP we just happened to be in the back of Frontierland not realizing that a lot of the characters come from that direction - there were about 10 people in the square there and the characters came out and dance and interacted just with us for about 30 minutes - was a great time!
The first time they had the little garden in Germany where they sell glasses of Gluewein at Christmastime - my younger son was stationed in Germany for 5 years and I was fortunate enough to visit the Kristkindle Market in Nuremberg with him several times. That particular year he was home on leave from his 2nd tour in Iraq and we sat in the Germany garden, having a glass of Gluewein together - it brought back so many good memories, and made new ones - was a nice quiet break away from the crowds and a chance for us to reconnect.
After my son and daughter-in-law were married at the Beach Club, we went to the Bar at the Floridian and looked at all the wonderful Christmas decorations. There's a wonderful picture of us in front of that big tree - I have a HUGE smile on my face - most likely from the champagne!!
Last year it was just my grandson (4 then) and me at MK - the dance party came through near the hub and he went out and was dancing for all he was worth. He has some issues with socializing, crowds and does not do well with loud noises (he has been diagnosed with Asperger's), so I was amazed at how comfortable he was with the crowd and the loud music. He talked about dancing with Mickey for the rest of the trip!
Counting down to my next trip this December! Can't wait to make more memories!!
