So, I am looking to try specific "new" things on my next trip and wondered if you all could share with me some of your favorites (besides pork or shellfish):

  • Favorite place to get a good shake: Not a shake drinker, but I've heard good things about the ones at Sci Fi.
  • Favorite dessert: only one? Coppa Di Brutti Ma Buoni (Via Napoli) or Jaffa Dunbrody Kiss (Raglan Road)
  • Best steak: Filet Mignon with Mushroom Risotto (Le Cellier)
  • Best salmon: Cedar Plank Salmon (Artist Point)
  • Favorite drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic): Slushies (lots of locations) or the Sunriser (Victoria Falls Lounge, AKL, alcoholic) or Frunch (Boma, breakfast)
  • Best atmosphere for adults besides V&A: I've not been, but folks mention Jellyrolls (if you're trying to go somewhere without kids
  • Best appetizer: Arancini (Via Napoli) or Calamari (Narcoossee's)
  • Best resort TS: Nacroossee's (Signature) or 'Ohana (non-Signature) or Boma (breakfast)
  • Best Park QS: Flame Tree (AK), Les Halles (Epcot), Be Our Guest (MK), Starring Rolls (DHS - mostly for cupcakes), Cooke's of Dublin (DTD)

Thank you!! The desserts sound delish!! I have not heard of either one. I never even tried to get an ADR at Le Cellier because it seems impossible, but Im hearing so many good things about their steak... your selections are very interesting. Love them!

Favorite dessert:Tie Bread Pudding at Raglan Road or Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake at Liberty Tree Tavern

Best steak:Filet at Le Cellier

Best salmon:Haven't found one

Best onion rings:50s Prime Time

favorite drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic): POG Juice at the Poly, pretty much anything at La Cava de Tequila, Alcoholic Slushies from France

best atmosphere for adults besides V&A: Wouldn't know sadly

best appetizer: Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup with Pretzel Bread at Le Cellier, Scallop Forest at Raglan Road

Best resort TS: Kona Cafe or Boma

Best Park QS: Sunshine Seasons

Favorite dinner show: Hoop De Doo Review
 
I haven't been to enough Disney restaurants to properly answer all this, but I will answer the dessert part. :)

My two favorites are:

the fried wontons at Yak & Yeti - unique and delish

and

the to-die-for cinnamon rolls at the Main Street Bakery - I could live on those :)

Favorite dessert: Chocolate lava cake at Ireland during F&W.
Best steak: Yachtman's Steakhouse
favorite drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic): Frunch(?) at Boma's. Combination of juices available during breakfast but if you ask your server for it during dinner they will provide.
best atmosphere for adults besides V&A: Artist Point
best appetizer: I remember something good at Jiko's
Best resort TS: oooh, hard one.... I'll go with Boma's.
Best Park QS: Columbia Harbor House
Favorite dinner show: Hoop Dee Do

Favorite dessert: Almond Cheesecake Narcoossee's - Chocolate Soufflee Shula's

Best steak: Porterhouse Yachtsman - Ribeye Le Cellier

Best salmon: Artist Point

Best onion rings: Flame Tree BBQ

favorite drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic): Cherry Coke (I'm not 21)

best atmosphere for adults besides V&A: Jiko - Shula's - Buezoo

best appetizer: Bread Sampler Sanaa - Wild Boar Tenderloin Jiko

Best resort TS: I generally only eat in the resorts lol but Jiko - Flying Fish or Cali Grill - Non Sig - Boma - Sanaa

Best Park QS: Be Our Guest - Love the theming food is great!

Favorite dinner show: I've only done Mickeys BBQ don't really like Dinner Shows -
 
I've never had a shake, onion rings, or salmon at WDW, but my opinions on the rest:

Favorite dessert: profiteroles at Le Chefs de France, maple creme brulee at Le Cellier

Best steak: Angus NY Strip at Le Cellier (with their mushroom filet a very close runner-up)

Favorite drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic): Lapu Lapu at the Polynesian

Best atmosphere for adults besides V&A: Yachtsman Steakhouse, San Angel Inn (I think there are probably better options, but this is just out of the places I have been)

Best appetizer: Most of the appetizers I loved have now disappeared from their menus, sadly. Of those that haven't, it's probably the bread service at Sanaa

Best resort TS: Jiko (again, out of those I've tried)

Best Park QS: Tangierine Cafe at Morocco, Les Halles at France, lunch at Be Our Guest

Favorite dinner show: Spirit of Aloha at the Polynesian (Can't stand Hoop De Doo because I grew up immersed in all things yee-ha and they irritate the crap out of me to this day)

Best steak: Yachtsman Steakhouse porterhouse
Best salmon: only one I've had was at Crystal Palace dinner but it was excellent
Best onion rings: 50s Prime time
favorite drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic): alcoholic: avocado margarita in Mexico; non-alc: vanilla diet coke at 50s prime time
best atmosphere for adults besides V&A: California Grill
best appetizer: onion tart from California Grill (not sure if they have it now though); second is the charcuterie plate at Yachtsman Steakhouse
Best resort TS: tie: Kona Cafe at Polynesian and Kouzzina at Boardwalk (but Kouzzina is closing end of Sept.)
Best Park QS: Tangierine Cafe in Morocco at Epcot
Favorite dinner show: never went to a dinner show

Favorite dessert: Berry cobbler at Artist Point, No Way Jose at Beaches n Cream, Bread Pudding at Ohana

Best steak:Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Minion, Oak Grilled Fillet Minion at Jiko (though I miss the mac n cheese it used to be served with)

Best salmon:

OMG, I took so many notes... you guys are great!!! Im going to have to starve myself for the next two weeks so I dont feel bad at all the goodies, Im going to try. The PBandJ Shake seems to be a good one... never had it!! I am looking forward to that and some of the yummy appetizers you all mentioned.

Im going to see if I can get an ADR for Le Cellier to try this steak you all are raving about...!! Keep em coming and thank you again!
 
Favorite place to get a good shake: My kids really like the shakes at Sci-Fi & the bottomless milk shakes at Whispering Canyon Café. (Do they still have the bottomless milk shakes at WCC?)

Favorite dessert: Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake at Liberty Tree Tavern

Best steak: the filet at Le Cellier

Best onion rings: hmm... maybe Sci-Fi?

favorite drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic): the frozen coffee margarita at La Cava Tequila!!

best atmosphere for adults besides V&A: it depends on what kind of atmosphere you're looking for - Artist Point, California Grill, Citricos, Jiko, Narcoossee's, Ragland Road...

best appetizer: the goat cheese ravioli at California Grill

Best resort TS: California Grill at the Contemporary or maybe 'Ohana at the Polynesian or Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge

Best Park QS: I have 3 - Cantina de San Angel in EPCOT, Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom, or Tortuga Tavern at the Magic Kingdom
 
Favorite place to get a good shake: I think the only shakes we've had are at Whispering Canyon Cafe and they were pretty good!

Favorite dessert: Yikes..only one to choose? I'd have to go with the bread pudding at Ohana.

Best steak: Filet at LeCellier

Best salmon: No clue

Best onion rings: We like the ones at Flame Tree BBQ

favorite drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic): Lapu Lapu at the Poly.

best atmosphere for adults besides V&A: No clue, but Artist's Point always looks nice as we walk by to WCC or Roaring Forks.

best appetizer: love the cheese soup at LeCellier.

Best resort TS: our favorite is Ohana. Second, is Kona for it's consistency.

Best Park QS: Flame Tree BBQ

Favorite dinner show: Hoop De Doo (but that's the only one we've done)
