I love my fiestaware! I don't have many old pieces-just one, but it sure does brighten up the kitchen and meal times! Do you find your older stuff on Ebay?

Day 3—Yay for BBB! The “Princess Decision” is a hard one for sure, but I think she’s up to the task! Cinderella’s dress is SO pretty, but Maddie will be divine no matter who she chooses!

It will be tough to surpass Fairy Godmother extending the invite! I like the Tiana connection, especially since Maddie knows that Tiana is tight with Cinderella because of the royal guest room.

Ok, now my next picks...

Brown Derby - Never been there, really want to try it sometime. I really don't have any other good reason for picking it.

Tusker House - The last time I ate at H&V was hands down the worst meal I've ever had on Disney property. It will be a while before we give it another try.

Yak & Yeti - Never been to either one. I wavered back and forth, and do want to try both, but I'll pick Yak & Yeti just because it is something a little bit different.

WPE - Nothing against Cosmic Rays. I really do like it, but the only advantage it has over WPE is the fact that it is in a park and therefore more convenient. Oh yeah... and there's Sunny Eclipse too. If you just look at food quality, WPE wins it hands down.



I can't believe it!

I think you've got some good ideas to deliver the "invitation" to Maddie. Sure, it might have quite the same effect, but you've got some good ideas in place. I'm sure it will be fine.

I love Y&Y so much! I was so tempted to return this trip. The green beans and wontons were divine!

My ADR guesses are Tusker House (officially our favorite restaurant on Disney property at this point in time! Seriously, DBF asked to go twice in September. So we are.) and Fulton's Crab House

For the Tournament of Food I say,

Fulton's Crab House cause it sounds delicious

Tusker House: see above regarding how awesome we find it

Kona Cafe for no real reason other than it sounds like I'd like to eat there

Cosmic Rays because we love Cosmic Rays. Even though the person taking my order last time really ruined the experience. We took Presley to eat so Jen and Rick could ride some rides. I had the 2 year old in my arms cause she didn't want to sit in the stroller. She wanted apple juice and the lady working had put her juice in her line of vision but hadn't given it to us yet. I asked her if she could give me the juice to end the tantrum currently occurring in my arms.

Her response "I can't give you the juice until the food is ready." Gr. I was mad but I won't hold it against them. Still an awesome CS.

I love how you guys make it a point to invite Maddie to BBB. It's such a cute way to show her that it's a special experience and not make it about the money. I personally think she'll pick Rapunzel next time!

I have to say that Tusker House was our most surprising meal last trip. We were expecting another run of the mill character breakfast, but we were blown away! It's so great isn't it?

Ugghhh! That's super annoying. I can't believe that they wouldn't give a little girl her juice! What's the big deal? You'd already paid for it!

Thanks Courtney! I wouldn't be a bit surprised if she chose Rapunzel. I do think that she's a little mommy pleaser too though, and she knows Belle is my fave so that's a front runner as well. I've told her 100 times that if she gets to go back she should choose whomever she wants.

This next one is harder. Well, I'm pretty sure about Tusker House, but the second one could be several restaurants. I'm really hesitating between two. Okay, here goes nothing. I'm going to go ahead and say that day 4 is close to mid-trip, so a good time to go shopping. With that, I will guess Fulton's Crab House as your dinner ADR.


My favorite princess out of the possible choices for Maddie at BBB is Rapunzel so I hope she chooses that. I know she will be pretty no matter which one she ends up choosing though.

I've been to both. The food was pretty good at both, but we really had an outstanding experience at HBD.


The Character/Dinner Show region features:

This is the hardest decision. I think Peanut will enjoy the characters at H&V a lot, but personally I would prefer to try Tusker House. I'm not a very adventurous eater, but I think the characters are so cute in their safari outfits, and the restaurants looks beautiful.


The Table Service region finds:
Kona Cafe

This one is easy for me. Kona Cafe is one of our top restaurants and we love going back again and again.


And, the Counter Service region features a real barn burner:
Wolfgang Puck Express

I don't like the look of Cosmic Rays, and the burgers are just as good at Pecos Bill. Also, WPE offers some unique choices. The pizza I had there was very tasty.

Hollywood Brown Derby is on the tentative list for next trip. I might make a dinner ADR there and use the F! package. I've heard great things about it.

I think Rapunzel is a really good guess. She wavers weekly on her choice (she's obviously planning for just in case she gets invited. )

That doesn't sound silly at all! I have found that planning our Disney trips gives me something to look forward to, which in turn lifts my spirits. Whenever I find myself getting upset, I just take a deep breath and remember that our next vacation is only however many days away. It really helps.

And you know how much I would love a sparkly skirt, but I absolutely do not want you to make one now! You are so busy making amazing clothes, being a mommy and planning for Disney...I couldn't add anything else to your full plate! However, I do want to be the first in line when you are able to start selling on Etsy. I am definitely going to be one of your biggest customers! Hey guys! It's been another busy week around here. I did finish one dress for Maddie, but I don't have any pics for you since my model is sleeping. I've also finished altering 2 prom dresses for our family's favorite young woman. She's Bryan's 2nd cousin's daughter (what does that make her to us? You Southern gals probably know) and our families are very close. So, when she asked me to make her a dress for her high school graduation, I couldn't say no. I really don't have much left to do on that dress once I fit it on her one more time so I may have some pictures of that to share next week. She also requested that I make her mini bestie Maddie a coordinating outfit, so I'll definitely share pics of that when it's done. And, since I'm a world class idiot I also volunteered to make that same young woman and her boyfriend t-shirt quilts from all of their sports t-shirts that they've amassed in high school.

So yeah, once those things and Maddie's Alice dress (and maybe a Sophia dress if it looks like she'll be available for greetings at DHS) are done I'm totally getting that Etsy shop up and running I swear that I'm going to do it though, thank you guys so much for all of your support in that. I promise that I'll PM anyone who's interested when it goes live.


In other life news we've been having some crazy weather around here this week. Maddie's school was cancelled today and tomorrow due to flooding! That's a new one for me. Here are some pics I borrowed from the internet of some towns around here. We're safe and dry (only a little water in the basement-the sump pumps just can't keep up!) but there are a lot of roads around here that are closed, and a lot of areas of our town are without power.












And, onto more exciting things--like Disney! Two weeks ago when the summer discounts were announced I called WDW and got our reservation adjusted to reflect the discount (our package is now cheaper than the AoA LM one would have been). Since the summer discounts are out, I decided to do a little research for next years trip.

We are 100% settled on POR-RGR for this trip, but I wanted to get an idea of the price difference in the deluxes vs. the mods with the 30% off summer deal. While I was doing that, Bryan asked me to see how much it would cost to add the Water Parks and More option to the tickets. It's only $50 more!

Once we saw that, we decided to add the WP&M option to this year's tickets as well! I had to cancel one ADR (Coral Reef ) and add another (the Plaza for lunch on Day 1! ). No one will loose any points for having guessed Coral Reef in the Guess My ADR game, but it will be removed from the list of places to guess from.

I'll share more of our water park plans when we get to the appropriate day on the PTR, but we're really excited to try one out for the first time!

O'hana Best Friends Breakfast

This one depends. For lunch, I would go with Liberty Tree Tavern, since it is quite good. The dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern is terrible, so I would go with 50s Prime Time

Pizzafarri. I have heard the Pepper Market is good, but I would only eat there if I was staying at the hotel. It is low on my list of hotels to stay at.

If you are going to 2 (as seems to be the theme), I am guessing you will go to Akerhaus and 50s.

That is a lot of flooding. Once in a while, it floods like that here. Crap got caught in one that left water all the way up to seats. His engine had to be replaced, and it smelled like mildew for weeks. It is great that you got a discount making your room even cheaper than AoA. After I booked my room there, I read that no discounts have been released for them. If a discount does come out for our dates, I will try to talk Crap into upgrading to a Car's Suite.
