You Know Your Stuck In The 80's If.......

I think all of my jeans had those stupid denim bows!! :lmao:

LMAO..it was the LA Gear matching acid wash jeans n jacket set that topped it all!!

At work, we just got in the ugliest jeans, that reminded me of my childhood. Tight legs, acid wash, in black, purple and another color I already forgot.

I will say tho, since sweater dresses have made a comeback, I'm taking advantage of them with leggings while preggo :thumbsup2

And, I will have to admit = My 5th grade picture has me in some white parachute pants with neon colored lightning bolts all over them :rotfl2: That's when I knew how to breakdance :cool2:

Ankle zippers !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:

That reminds me of something else. Did anyone have those jeans that had a slit (maybe 3 inches long or so) cut out of the back at the ankle? And on top of the slit there was a denim bow?

:rotfl: yep.. had those!

I think all of my jeans had those stupid denim bows!! :lmao:

Look, look, look what I found! Ankle zippers AND denim bows!!!

if you still own a "members only" jacket.

Actually Member's Only Jackets tried to make a come back a few years ago. My dad has like 10 of them in every color. lol He is 75. Like I said they tried to make a come back and when they were at a discount clothing store he racked up for $5 a pop.

Oh I had forgotten about the zipper pants, bows and the acid wash jeans. I never had parchute pants. No way was too out there for me but I did wear the sweater tights there were cable knit. My DH had a mullet when I met him. That was in the early 90's. Thank goodness he cut that off shortly after that.

Roos are short for KangROOS shoes...they are coming back in style now.

I had to google them because I had no clue either Here is a link to who asked..

And fringe! Has anyone mentioned fringe yet?

And of course, it had to be fringe with denim. Acid washed, preferably.

Here's a pic to remind you of the good old days:

You know you're stuck in the 80's if you wear genie pants and actually think they look good!

(I can't believe noone's mentioned this one; I had a closet-full of the things when I was a teen, and look back on that with horror! :eek )

Besides the 'roos, rubber bracelets, girls wearing hi-tops, shoulder pads and Swatches-wearing mini's over leggings, the oversized blouse untucked with the belt wore loose & low on the hips are all coming back in style...at least in our area. The worst is the powder blue eyeshadow with the heavy eye liner and blue mascara:scared1: ...have seen girls wearing this. :sad2:

I wonder if the poofy bang/hair will come back. I'm sure the can a week AquaNet (white can) habit I had is partially to blame for the ozone layer. I may have burnt a huge hole in the ozone...but I looked awesome. Like...to-ta-lly....freakin'...gnar-ly awe-sum.

Genie/haram/mc hammer diaper pants were in the '90s, but I do admit to having some. They looked awesome with my color block long shirt.

All of it. I did all of it, and I'm PROUD OF IT!! :rotfl:

And fringe! Has anyone mentioned fringe yet?

And of course, it had to be fringe with denim. Acid washed, preferably.

That was my jacket! And I had a leather purse with fringe on it too.

What were we thinking?

And I can't believe I'm doing this, but here is me in 1985. Ignore the fact that I was a band geek. I had a mullet AND high-waisted jeans AND an Ipod shirt with the collar popped.
