Yet another tax advice request

We file our own taxes each year and have a couple of questions. We need to use the 1040 and schedule A forms, so no EZ for us. This year our W2's are already here and we are expecting a refund. We would like to get the ball rolling as quickly as possible. I've been reading about the tax delay for people who use other additional forms, but we don't use them. Is it okay to go ahead and file now, or do we still need to wait untill after Feb 11th? We usually put our mortgage intrest on the schedule A and although I am back in school, we exceed the income level rate needed to qualify for an education deduction.

TIA for any help!:)
