Year of Million Dreams -- anyone else get something yet? Post your wishes won here!

I was on my 1st ever trip to WDW last month. I had heard of YOAMD but didn't expect to win anything. On day 3, we were boarding Star Tours. I noticed the Dream Team sort of heading our way but didn't realize who they were. When we were seated, they introduced themselves and told us we all won YOAMD Ears. Woohoo! It was exciting, especially since I love Star Wars! A great memory and souvenir.

We were at WDW the Tuesday after Easter, and my ds was waiting in line t try and pull the Sword from the Stone. Kids were being rude and cutting him (hes 11, so a little more patient). A cast member came up to me and started talking about how patient he was. When it was his turn she told me to take his picture which I did. She then said she was with the Dream Team, and have him try again!! HE PULLED IT!!! She gave us all a FP for the whole family to use on any one ride! It was great! She made him Prince for the day! He loved it!!

Last June.

I went on a WDW trip with my best friend family. As a best friend he
told me that he was planning to propose to her some time during our trip. So while I was at MK i was looking out for the Wishes crew. They seem to come in and out of places and gone. So while we were sitting down near pirates of the Caribbean ride we was approached by a Wishes crew and offered us some pins and other stuff. We told him that it was our dad's birthday so he gave us a birthday sticker and pin. He was very nice and also asked us a bunch of questions. I never knew about it till then till it ticked in my head that they are there to grant some wishes. So we spent our latter of the day in the rain running around trying to find them for the wish for my best friend. We ended up finding one approach him inside a gift shop and casually asked him if we could get a wish granted. He asked what and we told him that my best friend needs help he is shy and wanted to propose to his gf but don't know how to do it and would like for you to help.
So in the end we talked for about thirty min. He asked us plenty of questions and how we wanted to do it so in the end. He blocked off access to the side wishing well. Gave us a ring holder, also a engraved picture saying congrats with "mickey!" on it! and also front row access to the parade/ wishes firework show! In the end he proposed to her during sunset with the Disney music wish upon a star playing in the background!

I have to say out of all theme parks that I have been this by far blown us out of the way!!

This story has blown me away! Incredibly sweet story! This is a fun board!

We got ears last Wednesday (4/9) in the Pal room at Toon Town fair. They were handing out fastpasses at the exit of Pooh on Friday (4/11) around noon.

i just got home from disney and amazed at how magical it really is. (even at 23)
yesterday as we were entering dinoland at animal kingdom we were approached by a cast member who said we had won!
he escorted us onto the dinosaur ride, bypassing an hour long wait, we walked straight on, and my family was given our own car to ride on.

He waited for us to finish our ride and took and walked us on to the rest of the rides in dinoland.

it really was a dream come true to walk to the front of the line and have a ride all to ourselves.

I really have the disney spirit now!
How fun!

We rode Haunted Mansion first because we knew it was going to get crowded later in the day (our last of 6 days at WDW) and we were given Dream Fast Passes as we were walking out of the ride. At first my DSs were disappointed because they wanted the night in the castle or $500 shopping spree that they had heard about on America's Funniest Home Videos. But then they got excited as the day went on and we bypassed 40 and 70 minute waits. I even got them to go on Winnie the Pooh (they're snobby 9 and 7 year olds) which they never would have done if it wasnt' one of the fast passes.

Wow! All of these stories about dreams bering granted are making me feel hopeful! I hope we win something:goodvibes!

Talk about disney magic!! They are really making this super special!! Congratulations everyone!!!

OK I have a question for everyone. I've been spying on this thread and decided it was time to post something. Last year when we went during the year of a million dreams we didn't have any dreams come true.:sad1: Saw lots of people with dream fastpasses and other stuff, but no luck for us. I don't expect to get anything this August when we go either. So.... I decided to start sending entries daily. I have been sending an envelope a day for me and one for my DH(only for like 2 weeks so far). Why I thought of this just now, I don't know.

I had been hand writing the envelopes but printed a bunch of papers with our info on it to stick inside. Then yesterday when I got more envelopes, I decided to print the address in Walt Disney script. Much easier right? I just now, the dummy that I am, decide to read the official rules online. I says a hand written paper or postcard with your info. What should I do? I bought custom Mickey return address labels and already printed out maybe 50 if not more papers with our info on it, plus the envelopes. Recycle the paper, not use those envelopes?? I guess I can always use the labels. I just don't want them to see my envelope and be like "this dummy didn't read the rules, GARBAGE pile for this one". Not to mention the cost of the postage for the rest of the year. YIKES!:scared1:

Any opinions will be greatly appreciated:thumbsup2[/quote

Can you please give the details for doing this? We are going in November!!

Thank You!!

My family (my dh, ds and myself) have been to WDW in January of 2007 and 2008. In 2007, the only wish we had granted was when a CM walked up to my son (2 yrs old at the time) and gave him a stuffed "Flounder" doll from Little Mermaid. He held it the rest of the trip. Then on our next trip, my son had kept saying he wanted pixie dust in his hair b/c I had told him we might get his hair cut and decorated at the main st. barber shop. Well...his hair was getting a bit long and I took him for his haircut right before the trip (not thinking) and so he really didn't need a cut at WDW. I told him we'd see about the pixie dust but we really never got around to it. THEN...we were leaving Peter Pan's ride and a DreamTeam member stopped my son and asked him all kinds of questions about the Peter Pan ride and the movie, and my three year old son was answering the questions correctly every time. Then he started pulling stuff out of his Wishes bag and he pulled out a Peter Pan certificate and a small velvet pouch with something (we weren't sure) in it. Believe it or not...he started reading a Peter Pan poem about the lost boys and tinkerbell and then he pulled PIXIE DUST out of that small bag and sprinkled my son's head with it....and declared him an "Honorary Lost Boy!" Isn't that cool?? He handed me the certificate with an official Tinkerbell signature (he signed it in front of us) for us to take home and frame. So my son got his pixie dust dream after all!! Later on at epcot, I also got the pair of tinkerbell pins, one to keep and one to give away. I found a little boy who was shopping with his mom and being really sweet and gave it to him b/c he had a lanyard full of pins.

Grand Marshal World Tour was great.

Every park treated us like royalty. Paris was the largest park with more unique rides than anywhere. I'm tired!!

Sorry I'm asking so many questions! I'm just excited to hear about it!
