My guess would be about a month or two before the movie opens (so maybe mid Sept. to mid Oct he could start) the film opens Nov.2nd. I remember Lotso started greeting before Toy Story 3 opened and many people were "angered" or at least "upst" to later learn that Lotso wasn't a cute and cuddly strawberry smelling bear in the film but the villian. At least in this case it (the story) has a different twist.
