World of color dessert party?!

I'm hoping it wasn't a dream 'cause I'd prefer having foresight of an upcoming, never-before-released-event be something more beneficial than a WOC dessert party. The one we attended/paid for did not have high tops, rather fold up wood chairs and the desserts were brought out for each one of us on trays. Yes, the goodies got wet when the wind blew just right.
A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes :wizard:

I'll pass, too much $ for what it is, IMHO. Would much rather spend it on a couple of drinks and appetizers in Carthay Circle Lounge and get a FP for WOC

Has anyone been able to get an AP discount on this?

As mentioned on the parks blog and in an earlier post here, there is no AP discount for the WoC dessert package. These tend to be premium experiences with limited seating that sells out, so Disney is not motivated to offer discounting. I believe the Fantasmic dessert package also did not have an AP discount.

Well, I decided to cancel my reservation. I thought about it some more and realized that the last time I saw WOC, I was in the back by the Little Mermaid ride, saw it, liked it but realized I don't need to see it again. If it was my first time, then maybe I would. I will put the money to better use.

I went ahead and booked it for DH and myself for our last night. By then we should be able to stay up that late (East coasters!). It is pricey, but this will be one less thing to worry about, as we are DL novices. And I do love dessert!

I hope in 2 days we get some reports!

It starts tonight correct? Looking forward to hearing reviews! We're thinking of booking for next week but it better be FABULOUS to justify the price especially with no reduced child rate or AP discount.

If anyone has done it, can you please detail what your dessert choices are?
I saw the blog post but didn't show many choices. Looking to see if there's
good selection kids would like as well.

Thank you

I'd like to see photos of the desserts. What was in the blog post made me assume it would be like the boxed desserts for the old Fantasmic seating. That did not have any choices of dessert. Everyone got the same assortment in a container.

I observed (did not participate) the WOC dessert party last night (second night of the party), a few comments (photos and map later).
  • Most chairs are high canvas "directors" chairs.
  • There are some normal height tables with folding chairs.
  • Location is one level down from the rear walkway, previously blue fastpass. A trellis covered part of this area, but was removed (a year ago).
  • Views look good, I have watched the show many times from that exact location.
  • Two rows of tables with space between and behind for servers and guests to easily move (quite a lot of space).
  • Guests were escorted to their seats, very organized process (seemed a little slow).
  • Line formed at a clearly marked location at the rear walkway, with a cast member at a podium.
  • Non-Alcoholic drinks were served in lighted "Made with Magic" cups, which sold for $25 last year. These are no longer available (perhaps clearing only stock?).

Could you tell if it was like the F! Dessert party with a box or a serve yourself kind of thing?

Everything said here is correct.

Check in is at 9 and that's when they seat. There is no reason to line up super early because there is only two rows and the second row is elevated, but to all their own. The seating, view, desserts and service were amazing. You get a choice of an alcoholic beverage that is blue with vodka or champagne. Kids got a suvineer light up cup that glows with the show, was very Nice.

At check in they only ask you for your last name, give you a wrist band then seat you.

The servers place a basket of bread for the table, the desserts and drinks. I believe you are allowed to have unlimited hot drinks or water. They offer one alcoholic beverage but the server was nice and brought us another upon request.
