October is not released yet. Tracking the release dates is the purpose of this thread (thank you OP!). October should be released anytime between this very second and mid-August. Could be later.

I'm looking for October 1 or 4 so, my heart jumps a beat every time I get a notification for a posting. Also, checking 4 times a day. lol

Yeah that's why I was confused lol. The fact that Disney has an active reservation module on their website and the website is coded with greyed out dates, it made me think it was already available and then I saw this thread, which is what threw me off

If it is not grayed out, the party should be held that night. The grayed out nights (most, if not all) are the Halloween and Christmas parties (depending on the date/month). There may be other grayed out nights. It's assumed the party won't be held for whatever other reasons Disney has.

Depends on the date (and party size--possibly). While some dates are sold out, others still have spots left. Some dates won't let you book (at least online) for one party size, but will for other party sizes. If you run into a party-size issue, I'd just call and see what the CM on the line can do for you. They may not be able to squeeze in a bigger part size due to the cap on the number of people attending, but I'm sure they can accommodate a smaller party.

We booked for June at the end of March. I didn't check the DIS until about 5:30 and there were posts that reservations had just opened shortly before I checked. We must've been among the first to book because our table was right in the front

I only know if it being in the afternoon. I'm not saying it can't be in the morning, but I think typically it is the afternoon.

Quick question. Does the time that you choose matter in terms of where you sit and the view? From looking at the online registration, there are seatings at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm for a day with a 9pm fireworks show. I'm not sure going two hours early is a good idea for our kids. If we do an 8pm and take time to relax and eat a lot of sugar before bedtime, are there any downsides?

I'm curious about this as well. I can't imagine hanging out for 2 hours eating dessert before the fireworks. I will be going for the 8pm seating.

The party begins one hour before Wishes. The calendar lists all those times because Wishes is held at different times during the year. I believe once October opens it will only list the time comparable to when Wishes is held (for example, if Wishes is at 10, the party time will be 9 - or sometimes it lists 9:10 or 9:20.) Basically, everyone can get in an hour before, but people do line up about 20-30 minutes before that. Where you're seated is based on how early you book after the dates open, not on the time you choose. We've gone 3 times and it's great! Have fun!!

I'm waiting for November as well. Last year I was the first to call because I had the front row first table. Hoping to be as lucky this year. Taking my DD this time. Will be watching this tread. Oh and I made the reservations around 10:30 right when they opened up.
