I've read most of the thread and apologize if it's been asked but can you request sugar free desserts? DH is diabetic and doesn't usually eat dessert (although he would eat a few chocolate covered strawberries).
I haven't done it myself, but i've heard that if there are any food concerns, that you could call and have a special plate made up.
Long time lurker to the DIS boards, and I finally decided to post. I love this thread! I've been wanting to book this for our upcoming October trip for a while, and it's reassuring to know that other folks are in the same boat. Even though I have the feeling that October won't be open for several weeks, I still can't help but check it at least a couple of times a day!
I had to cancel our Aug trip because my mother in law is sick and was put on hospice. We will now be going out to visit her in Oregon to help take care of her things and allow the children to say good bye. If anyone was looking for the party on Aug 26 we had a reservation of 6 that I just canceled. So more space will now be available.

And to everyone that thinks July 4th is such an awful time to go, I can't agree. The longest wait we had was maybe 20 minutes and that's when we decided to fastpass space mountain. We got there 30 minutes after it opened and basically did all major rides within a few hours. Now of course it got busier later but get there when it opens and fastpass what you can. All the difference.
Will have pictures and video to show soon I love the special decoration on the table too. Was awesome. We were also the first table right at the front. So I definitely think you're table is positioned at how quickly you book. I was the one that alerted July was available. So I was sure I was the first booked of the 4th and I seem to of been.
We were there on the 4th as well. I think we were table no. 4, as the hostess was counting off when she walked us to our table. I completely agree that it was money well spent, especially on such a crowded and long day! Loved the personalized centerpieces. But the best part was being told by the hostess that we could sit there for as long as we wanted, even after last call. We stayed to watch the electrical parade and Magic, Memories and You. I would absolutely recommend the dessert party.

Love your St. Augustine pictures! I used to live there, right near the Presbyterian Church that you took photos of! I miss that place!
