will we be stranded at MK?

We're busy planning our trip, (1 month 12 days and counting! ) and have hit a snag in the proceedings, could anyone help, please? we are hoping to catch the monorail at Epcot, friday 9th oct, across to MK then the boat to FW for the Sing-along campfire, then boat back to MK and monorail back to Epcot after the film, but that night MK closes at 7pm. Would the boats still run to the monorail connection or would we end up stranded at FW? thank you all so much.

You could always get the boat to the Contemporary and monorail from there to the TTC.

Is MK closing because of a party? (the Halloween party?) If so, you'll be fine with your plan because the party isn't over until 12:00 and transportation will be running for some time after that. If not, walking to the CR is a good idea. You could also always catch a cab from the CR.

how about the campfire singalong, movie and smores at the beach club?
there is no characters but at least then you only have to walk through
international gateway at epcot then your mins walk away from beach club.

You could always catch a bus from Fort Wilderness to Epcot.

There are ways and means around every possible situation at WDW so don't get stressed out the hotels all have buses running until the late hours because people will stay out at other parks and at DTD. So you can catch the bus to either Epcot OR DTD and find the bus for your own hotel there and pop back. Epcot will also get you back to the Ticket and Transportation Centre if you are staying off-site and you have missed the bus for your hotel which has already pulled away from "off-site" location for picking up at Epcot. Like I said ways and means... and if all else fails grab a taxi
