Wilderness Lodge and halloween

Does anyone know if the lodge will have any activities for halloween? We have done the halloween party twice already and just don't want to spend the money for that. We will be there on halloween and would like to do something with the kids for halloween.

This was the Halloween activity schedule for Halloween 2010:

Check out the activities offered at Wilderness Lodge on Sunday, October 31:

•Spooky Crafts in the Lobby: (1-5 p.m.) Join the recreation team in the lobby for the creation of a creepy craft.
•Monster Mash Pool Bash: (2-3 p.m.) Meet at the Silver Creek Springs Pool for an hour of pool party fun, including games, tattoos and prizes.
•Haunted Duck Races: (3-3:30 p.m.) Race costumed ducks across the finish line at the Silver Creek Springs Pool.
•Costume Party & Trick-or-Treating: (4:15-6 p.m.) Meet in the lobby and parade around the lodge trick-or-treating throughout the entire lodge.
•Movie on the Beach: (7:30 p.m.) Tonight’s movie will be “The Haunted Mansion” (rated PG).
Trick-or-Treat locations at Wilderness Lodge will include Roaring Fork, Pin Trading, Bell Services, Front Desk, Wilderness Lodge Mercantile, Sturdy Branches, Teton Bike and Boat Rental and Trout Pass Pool Bar.

I had no idea the resorts did anything special for Halloween in terms of activities.

We will be at the Beach Club on Halloween. Will they be doing anything?

The deluxe hotels all have weekly recreation schedules that list the activities they have planned each day -- movies, pool activities, crafts. The week of Halloween some simply tailor their events to that holiday. Some have trick-or-treating.

I don't know of a place where all of the recreation schedules are posted. I find them randomly around the Internet -- people sometimes post them online when they return from Disney, in their trip reports.

According to the Disney Mom's panel, historically Wilderness Lodge, Ft. Wilderness and Saratoga Springs have had Halloween activities.

But call the Beach Club directly and perhaps they can give you more information -- they may already have their Halloween schedule planned. Their number is 407-934-8000.
