Im a lurker (and prayer) from this thread. never thought I would be posting but I could use a prayer for my boyfreind david who has a enlarged heart thats causing issues so hes having surgery on his heart.

I don't post as often as I should but I've been reading and praying. Also there have been some threads ont he boards here lately that is prompting me to pray more.

Please keep me and my family in your prayers. I think God is about to do something really big in our lives, but I want to make sure and know it is from God and not the devil using certain things as a distraction. I want to move in his will, not against it nor in my will.

If anyone is reading, I'd like to ask for prayers for my boyfriend. He has been having big anxiety issues, complete with panic attacks, etc. It's gotten to the point where it's almost debilitating, he can't control it and he just can't take it anymore. He's seeing a psychiatrist who has helped a bit, but after he got sick a few weeks ago things are worse than they originally were. I told him that everyone has their own cross to bear, but when it's preventing him from living life, and doing his job, it's really hard. I am having to jump in and help whenever possible, mostly just be there to help with his students if he starts to have issues (which has happened) but it's a hard balance right now, with my own job and things I have to do. Prayers would sure be appreciated, just that he can get through this and be the teacher and role model that he really truly has the desire and ability to be. Thanks!

First of all...this is a wonderful thread....

My Sister in law, hubby & their 3 young children need prayers.
A situation in has torn their family apart & it's been a very difficult time for them. Her hubby is now out of the country & she & the kids are going to visit him for 6 weeks this Saturday.

Asking for prayers for my dd 14 Bethany she is having another palete surgery (AUG 11th)to take down a pharyngeal flap surgery put in at age 9 but caused her to have sleep apnea and to be on a cpap machine since and she wants off the machine ,so we are getting this done.Please pray this works and she won't have to have anymore surgeries after this.

Update on my dd. Her surgery seems to not have worked, she is having another sleep study done soon and a nasal scope (which she is upset about). With those results then they will decide on which surgery to do to fix the problems. Please keep her in your prayers. Continue prayers for everyone

I posted on this thread several pages back about some issues I was having at work that were getting worse.

Background: a co-worker who was verbally abusive and my being so nervous about going to work that I was having physical reactions to just entering the building.

The co-worker has been let go due to him not showing for work for 2 weeks with no explaination or phone calls. The day that he returned to work and was let go -he came to the department and threatened me. I work in a back part of the building which can be accessed without anyone knowing you are there. I am scared to death of going to work. I am having panic attacks on a daily basis which makes it difficult for me to do my job. I have begun to look for other employment but am either "over" qualified or can't even get an interview. My degree is very specialized.

PLEASE PLEASE pray for me and my family that I can find a new position that will meet the needs of my family. We desparately need it.

Thank you for reading my rambling. I don't really know what else to do but pray and am afraid that I will loose my faith in that soon. Pray for strength for me.

It is terrible that you have to go through this. You definately need to speak to a trusted supervisor or HR person. You should never feel unsafe at work. Perhaps if they are made aware of the threat, they could file some sort of restraining order against him so he can be legally forbidden from trespassing on your company's territory.
I have prayed for your sitaution. I hope that a postive change comes your way so you can do your job while feeling safer.

I'd like to ask for some prayer support, I'm feeling so overwhelmed right now - I feel like I've got so many plates in the air - I'm really having a hard time letting go and letting God.

- first for may father. He's having health issues and is becoming seriously depressed. I'm really worried that he's giving up.

-I'm battling our local school district over a teacher that behaved inappropriately with his students. I'm concerned for my daughter and her well being in this situation.

-and my business is really struggling due to the economy and things are getting a little hairy.

Please pray that things work out to get to LA to see the specialist I need to see about my tumor and rare disease. I need the airfare and hotel to work itself out. Then I also need to work out how I'm going to pay to see him because he doesn't accept insurance. Please also pray that my family will understand why I need to go see him and not fight me.

Prayers said for all those in need. I thank everyone for the prayers sent my way concerning my son. Things are indeed better and our prayers have been answered. I am going to learn one day to LET GO AND LET GOD. While the "process" was excruciating, I know that he had to go thru what he did to learn some life lessons. I was very guilty of trying to make things happen within my timetable. Had that happened, my son would have missed some very valuable lessons. I see that so clearly now. But, in the midst of the turmoil, I just wanted it better NOW. If you can, put your trust where it belongs and try to live in the present.
