Here now..DLH is wonderful..love this place and cheesy enough to sleep with the twinkly lights headboard on all night :). It is holy hot here..did EE at DCA, and the RSR line was nightmarish super fast, so did Mater (such fun) Luigis (liked it alot too! don't know why some whine) and Soarin (not even two rows on one vehicle full) before opening. Before opening got in FP line and worked perfect..got RSR return time at 10:30 and super smooth and quick to get on ride. Was great fun...can't decide if I like it better at day or night. Had lunch at Flo's..really good food! Had dinner at Carthay last night and really like that place..so Walt-centric. Also watched the Newsboys street show..they put on a great show and it features the talking Mickey. Fun!

I went to page one and saw that we will be arriving the day after you leave. Do you plan on any more EE days?

We are doing Disneyland today, then the rest of the days we'll be doing D23 Destination D stuff which is jam packed enough that we won't go to the parks at all until Monday night, then leaving on Tuesday. Had dinner at Steakhouse 55 last night...those au gratin potatoes never get old...then went to DL and waited in the inside line for Star Tours..ewww..never been in there, very cattle pen holding like and smelled like a gym, but the ride was worth it. Seems very crowded, but we usually come in January or other off times, so you can't judge by my impressions. I'm hoping to eat at Jolly Holiday today, as the last time I was here it was new enough to be super crowded.
Cannot say enough good things about DLH..If I wasn't DVC at VGC I'd stay here often.

Jolly Holiday hasn't been crowded at any point I've been in there. DL is crowded right now, but DCA is helping A LOT.

Morning Jack.

Have a safe trip down. Can't wait to get your daily report.

Thanks again keeping this thread alive.

Hi Jack, have a safe trip filled with magical moments!

Thanks for your daily DL pics! Can't wait to see them in real life next week!!

Let the anxiety dreams begin! Less than two weeks to go and I just had a dream that we forgot to go to carsland and lost one of our park tickets. Also we were at EE hour and dh wanted to just rest on a bench instead Of hustling through fantasyland. I am a nutcase!

:rotfl: I hear ya. I've had a few dreams now of getting to the airport and the plane had left for Cali without me, or that I had a half hour to make it to the airport for my flight and half way there I forgot my passport at home.

Going to the parks today. DD is performing at the Hollywood Pictures backlot stage. The group she is with has been doing shows there periodically all summer. This is their first Saturday show. She is having a great time and it gives us another excuse to visit DCA.

Jack,

Today is get away day for you and the family... have a safe drive to Redding!!
Have FUN! :cheer2:

That's great. What kind of performance is it? I'm bringing a group of dancers from Portland in a week and a half. What kind of audiences have you had?

Their performances are a song and dance show. They perform a medley of songs according to a theme. Think of it as like Glee. They have 3 shows, each around 15 minutes and they do two each time. Today they perform at 11:30, 12:30 and 1:30.

The audience for the first show each day are a little thin. The second and third shows are standing room only. Not sure why. I don't think people are coming back for more. I think the timing just works better for the later shows for some reason.

Disney has been great. They have a CM assigned to escort them to/from a backstage area to get ready before and after shows.

Let me know when your group will be performing. It would be kinda cool to see them if it worked out in our schedule.
