Which day NOT to go to the parks?

We have 5 day tickets and will be there six days. My itinerary looked like this:

Sunday, June 30: Disneyland (Storyteller's)

Monday, July 1: DCA

Tuesday, July 2: Disneyland (F! Dessert)

Wednesday, July 3: DCA (Triton's)

Thursday, July 4: Disneyland (Bug Thunder BBQ)

Friday, July 5: Disneyland

My gut says don't go on July 4th and change BBQ to Friday. I hate to not to so late in our trip but maybe we will need the rest by then. We weren't planning on going into the parks that evening anyway.

We also had plans of going to the BBQ on the 4th. I am in the same position as you...planned on 6 days but since we can't add on an extra day, I need to decide which day we are not going to the parks. :(

I'm trying to decide between the 4th and check out day. My gut says the 4th too. It is going to be crazy busy and a break will be nice.

If you do decide to go on the 4th make sure you are there by rope drop. I have been there in the morning on July 4th many times. Honestly the mornings aren't horrible however you will want to leave the park by noon or 1.
