Where to park in San Diego?

Just curious where we should park our car during our cruise this October out of San Diego?

:thanks:

Well, there's a big parking lot directly across the street from the pier. I think there may be 2 or 3 different parking facilities there.

:thumbsup2 Oh cool. I'll keep Googling and see what's up. I am thinking I may need to make a reservation ahead of time.

Looking for first hand experiences though I know it's been a while since Disney has done this cruise.

Well this site: http://www.parkingattheport.com/san-diego-cruise-terminal/ has 3 different parking options for the cruise terminal.

Here's another one:

Sorry, no first hand experience. Well, we parked in SD once for a HAL open ship event, but that was a while ago. The only cruise we ended in SD, we just took the train to get home.

Thank you so much for the links! :thumbsup2

Taking the train sounds wonderful. Wished we lived back in CA. I found a site that charges $11 a night. I'll look at these too. :goodvibes

We are considering the Aladdin lot. It has inside parking and a shuttle. My question is, how do we find the shuttle to get back to the lot after the cruise? Should we reserve in advance? Thanks

We parked at the Wyndham across the street last year. Easy, quick walk. This year, there appears to be a 3 day minimum for parking. It was very convenient, so I think I will just pay for that extra day.

This is the link for the parking at the Wyndham http://www.sandiegocruiseshipparking.com/

We used them last year and will use them again this October. It is a quick walk across the street to get to the terminal (a big bonus after the cruise also because you do not have to wait for or try to find a shuttle bus afterwards). I am booked for 7 nights but my Mom and my kids are joining us for the 2-night of our B2B so I booked them in the same lot. To meet the 3 night minimum, you just need to book over 48 hours (so I booked 8am Friday to 11am Sunday). It will charge you for 3 nights even though it is technically 2, but we found the convenience of it worth it to pay for the extra night.

We are staying at the Wyndham Bayside before our cruise. I'll give them a call and ask about parking there. I noticed the parking is the same address as the hotel.

Went to the 05/17/15 sailing from San Diego. Thinking parking shouldn't be a problem. The lot across the street is expansive, $24 a day! Parked at Aladdin instead, with the $1 coupon from their web site, indoor is $15. Shuttles are always on stand by from lot to port. Speedy service.

When getting off ship, gave them a call and their shuttle came like within 5 minutes. Will park there again if I need to be in San Diego again!

I tried to make a reservation online at Wyndham Bayside for parking for our dcl in a couple weeks, It is all booked. So now investigating Aladdin. I made a reservation online but am I guaranteed to get a parking spot? Looks like I do not pay until the end of the cruise when I exit the lot?

The Wyndham Bayside parking IS popular and I had heard about other people saying this in our cruise group. We are boarding on Sunday and I've had our parkibg booked since mid-July. Good luck!
