where to eat the night before at manchester

hello there we dont go till october 1st but we have booked to stay at the travel lodge at manchester airport the night before we fly and was wondering where to eat on the evening can any recommend a nice place we will have a car still not due to drop it off till the next morning and we will have two children aged 12 and 10 in tow a place to watch the planes while we eat would be great,

any help would be great

Last year we noticed that there is somewhere in the Travelodge itself to eat 24/7. I don't know about watching the planes though - sorry. We didn't eat there as we went over the Trafford Cantre to eat.

The SAS Radisson has a restaurant that faces out on to Terminal 2. We didn't eat there but ate in its cheaper restaurant, Braisserie, facing onto the skywalk. It was a lovely meal.

There is supposed to be a watch tower somewhere on the airport to look at the planes. We didn't find it though.
