Hi there! Just wondering where the best place and time is to arrange a Dismeet for all those folks I've been chatting with all these months? Did you do it right before the lifeboat drill? How much time did you allow? WHERE is the best place for the meet? Will DCL help out with a space?:confused3

Thanks for the help!

We've met in the Promenade Lounge an hour before the lifeboat drill (so around 3 pm). There is plenty of space here as others aren't trying to enjoy the area yet like there might be on one of the outside decks. This is especially good if you have a large group of DISers and/or in case of inclement weather. It's late enough that most folks have boarded and the staterooms are open so no one has to bring carry-ons with them.

Although we had a small DIS meet on Deck 9 by the ice cream machine. Others meet on Deck 10 for sailaway.

We did the exact same thing on our last 3 cruises, so this must be a popular option. We seemed to be the only ones there, so it was easy to find each other.

we had a meet on the last cruise behind topsiders on deck 9 right after the lifeboat drill and before the sailaway party

We met by the Mickey pool around 2:00pm- it was really crowded though. We also on Monday at Cove Cafe for coffee and tea, that was nice too.

We are planning to meet by the drink machines on deck 9. We have lots of kids who will want to be swimming, so we figured that was a good place to talk and let them swim. Hard to enjoy chatting with antsy kids tugging on you!

Promenade lounge 1st full day at sea at 9:30....nothing going on yet there, and right before the Vacation Club meeting thing in Sessions. We had a lot of people and while we were leaving, we stopped at the staircase and took our group picture!!

Sounds like the Promenade Lounge is the best place to meet.

Thanks for asking the ???

We had one all set up but everyone seemed to forget it when the appointed time came. My family was the only group to show up. But, the funny thing is that when we went to CC, my dh and I headed over to the adult beach, and when we got there, into the water, we ended up meeting several of the folks we were supposed to meet up with on the first day!!

We thought the pressure of having to meet while you were simply trying to figure out where you were on the ship, letting the kids run around, etc, was just a little much - so we chose to meet up on Deck 10 around the bar just before the sailaway party. This worked all right and allowed everyone to simply be in the same place at one time - we then had a meet where we could talk, on the next day.
