How fun for Hannah! I totally understand Paul wanting to let him out!:rotfl: Liberty Tree Tavern is one of our favorites too.

I LOVE THE SPLASH MOUNTAIN PICTURE!!! We go to an amusement park nearby every summer, and my kids LOVE those rides, It's called the Boston Tea Party at this park, so I think I can get all of my kids to ride that when we go to Disney in April!!! Can't Wait!:goodvibes

You all are really troopers for pushing through the heat and enjoying yourselves. OMgoodness I love the Splash Mountain pics....and Hannah is so brave!!! Good for her! What a great experience! Can't wait to hear more! :goodvibes

Poor Logan, getting spit on!:sad2: That is really disgusting. I hope it didn't upset him too much.

Great update! I CAN NOT believe Logan got spit on! :scared1: When I was growing up, for some reason NO SPITTING was my mother's #1 rule--always, so spitting really mortifies me! I love your Splash Mountain photos and your little bit of Magic with Goofy in the window!

This is a great and magical TR! I started from the beginning and just read straight through! Can't wait for more :)

Hannah did turn into a bit of a daredevil!

Poor Logan, getting spit on!:sad2: That is really disgusting. I hope it didn't upset him too much.
It was so gross but he got over it quickly.

I seriously don't understand how someone could do that.In my book that is just a huge no-no.

This is a great and magical TR! I started from the beginning and just read straight through! Can't wait for more :)
Thanks and great to have you aboard! I am going to try to update tonight or tomorrow again. It's been a busy (but great) weekend and I had to catch up on housework today.

Once we were settled in a spot to wait for the parade we were able to relax for the first time that day.We still had not had dinner yet and Paul and I were really not hungry. We knew that the kids should eat though since this might be the last chance before bed.I left Paul with the kids and went in search of food.I didn't really know where to find quick counter service food so I just kind of wandered up and down main street.I also wanted to find the shop that sold the personalized Mickey ears.I asked someone and was directed to the right place.I went inside and found out they were open until midnight so I knew we could do the ears on our way out(big mistake by the way-will explain later)I went back outside and made my way back through the growing crowd.I was able to find a place to grab food on the counter.I have no idea the name of this place but it was a old baseball park theme.I picked up some french fires and corn dogs and drinks. Then I made my way back through the crowds to our spot.By this time the wheelchair area was completly full.We stood and waited for the parade to start. The kids ate their snack and I busted out the glo sticks.I found a really good deal on them at Target before we left so I had a ton with us.I passed them out to all the kids around us.There was this really nice family sitting next to us on Hannah's side. The had three girls that were somewhere in the 9-13 age range. They had an accent and I believe they may have been from England. We made small talk a bit.Hannah on the other hand decided to take it to the extreme and REALLY made friends with the girls.Hannah's speech is somewhat hard to understand, especially if you have never met her before. These girls were so lovely. They were extremely patient with Hannah and talked with her and didn't seem put off by her at all.Hannah chatted at them non stop.It was to the point where I was trying to get her to quiet down because she would not stop talking! Right at nine oclock the lights went off on main street and the parade began. This was our first experience with a disney parade and it was amazing.(It was the spectromagic parade by the way) The parade rolls down the street and all the floats and people are lit with thousands of lights. My pictures do not do it justice ,but this parade was SO beautiful it took my breath away. All of the characters go by and the kids were SO excited. They were able to even spot some characters we had not seen before so that was quite exciting.

The second from last picture is Mary Poppins. She walked straight over to Hannah and shook her hand.Hannah LOVED that.I wish I had been able to catch the look on her face but I was behind her.We were all giddy from the parade and enjoyed it thouroughly.Once the parade was over we decided to stay put because we knew that Wishes(Fireworks) show would start at 10:00.
We didn't have too long a wait and we were all pretty excited. The show started and I was quite impressed to learn it was more than just an ordinary fireworks show. The castle is lit with different colors and the music and narration represent different disney movies.I can't possible begin to explain how beautiful this is.Near the beginning they send "Tinkerbell" flying from the castle.Tinkerbell is a person that rides this wire from the top of the castle.I had always hear about tinkerbell flying and stayed in this spot since we had spotted the wire ealier in the day.I was quite suprised when they sent an actual person flying down that wire! I thought it would be just a small fake one! The kids were most impressed by that! That show was very special and I have to admit that I was bawling by the end of it.If you have ever experienced Wishes you know what I mean.It was just one of those moments that I have always dreamed about experiencing with my family and it just seemed surreal that we were actually there. We just felt the disney magic to the extreme during this show.

Once Wishes ended it was almost 11:00 pm.We headed to the front of the park and boy that was not easy.It was literally shoulder to shoulder on the way.Near the front we did make a bee line for the mickey ears shop.We tried to quickly pick our ears out.You have to pick the hat and the ears seperately and then all of the patches yo want on it.We did this fairly quickly but the shop was MOBBED.Hannah started having severe acid reflux around the time I was waiting in line to pay.I managed to pay for them and then found out it would be a half an hour wait to finish personalizing them! I would have just bagged the whole thing but i knew this was our last shot at getting our ears and I had already paid for them.We sat outside and we tried to calm Hannah down. The kids were beyond exhausted by this posint and were both melting down.We were all tired and frustrated by this point but passed the time.I found it a little strange to find the spectromagic parade started again, I don't quite get that since it was after 11:00 and they closed the park. They sure didn't seem to be in a hurry to kick us all out.We finally got our ears and headed out to the monorail and then to the van and headed back to GKTW.I never did get a picture of us in Disney with our ears.In fact I realized I don't even have a picture of Logan wearing his yet.I better get on that. Here are our ears:

I know we look pretty funny but after all we went through to get them I decided we better wear them , at least once!

Did I mention that we left the park at Midnight? We spent 14 straight hours in Magic Kingdom.I think we all need therapy!

Great ears! Congrats on achieving 14 hours at MK! The longest we have done is 13 and that was before DD! I'm impressed! I'm assuming that the park was having Extra Magic Hours that night and that is why the parade ran twice.

I love your ears.
I will definetly look for the wires and park my bottom under them so I can see Tink,

I just finished reading your trip report. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am single and do not have any children, but I have been to Disney World with a friend and her son two times now and wanted to read about your experience with Hannah. Here's a picture of me and my buddy, Brent, on a bus going to a park.

Very cute :earsboy: and :earsgirl: . I havent ever seen Wishes and I vaguely remember Spectromagic from when I was like 8 or 9? I am really looking forward to finally seeing it in Feb! :cheer2:

Thursday morning we let the kids sleep in a bit.I figured we were all pretty exhausted from our 14 hour day at Magic Kingdom.I don't remember what time we headed out but I think it was somewhere around 10:00.We headed to Universal Studios.Of all the tickets we had recieved we knew this park would be a fairly quick visit.Paul and I would have loved it here but there was not that much that the kids would be interested in.Also we decided to fit in Islands of Adventure too since it was right next door.We could have split the parks up but we were leaving the next day and we wanted to spend some time shopping before our flight out.I had heard that it was a huge parking garage and they were not kidding.Fortunately we were able to park close to the entrance(or so I thought)We happily walked along and discovered that they had moving sidewalks.Score!!!! Until we reached the end of them and realized we had to walk quite a ways through the blazing sun to get to the actual entrance. This would no have been so bad except we had no stroller for Logan(until we got inside the parks)Logan was exhausted(as well as Paul and I)so we took turns carrying him. Finally we reached Universal.
967.jpg

The kids had fun fooling around in this cool mist.I would love to say it cooled us off but honestly I couldn't even feel it.Logan was running in circles around the big ball so fast that I could not get his picture.Funny , since five minutes before he was so exhausted that he just HAD to be carried.

We went inside and rented Logan's stroller. For some reason he started throwing a fit about then, I think it was because the double strollers ahd little steering wheels and he thought it wasn't fair that he didn't have one.Paul was getting a bit irritated with him.I can't say I blame him because we were all so hot and we were getting really tired.I talked to Paul a bit and made him laugh about something and then all was well.I have to say that it is difficult to take a trip and cram this much stuff in, without wanting to disown your family at some point.Through the whole vacation we all did really well with this and this was really a small moment of yuck.

We decided to go see the Shrek 4-D show. The neat thing about Universal is with the guest assistance pass they actually call a CM and they give you a personal escort to where you need to go(at the rides and shows).Sometimes this took a few minutes but we didn't mind.It was fun chatting with the CM's and they were all very nice.A few gave stickers to the kids.( I think a few at the Disney parks did this too)We went into the Que are for the Shrek show and it was really quite funny.I love how when you are waiting for the show you get all this extra entertainment.I didn't take too many pictures but I thought it was pretty funny when they had the gingerbread man in the "dungeoun cam" and he was telling us to run away.He looks pretty mad in this picture.Probably because he just escaped being tortured.
942.jpg

We went into the show and sat in regular theatre type seats. They gave us 4-D glasses and enjoyed the show.It was pretty neat but I have to say for the younger crowd it might be a bit too intense. It is REALLY loud and they have some scary graveyard scenes. It is pretty funny though and there is one part where Donkey sneezes and they spray water on you.Gross but funny. We exited the show to the area where Shrek does his meet and greet. He wasn't there and I was kind of bummed since I knew we didn't have a lot of time at this park.We moved on to the Jimmy Neutron ride.It is a 3-D show but the seats move. You feel like you are on a rocket ship blasting through all these Nickelodeon shows like spongebob and such. This was a cute ride but it left me feeling like I wanted to vomit. This was the only ride we went on, the entire trip, that made me sick. This ride exits into a gift shop (suprise , suprise!) The good thing was it also had a meet and greet for Spongebob. He wasn't there yet but a CM told me he would be out in five minutes. We jumped in line since there were only like two people in front of us.Spongebob came out and we waited a very short time for our turn.Just as we were about to see him a CM from the other side yelled out "wait , we have Wish family".The CM near us spotted Hannah's button at the same time and I started to laugh. She yelled back, "so do I !". I told her the other family could go first we didn't mind waiting and she seemed relieved.I guess she thought we might try to throw down right there!:rolleyes1 .Shortly after it was our turn.I have a love /hate relationship with Spongebob.I hate that he is rediculous and does not teach anything and isn't always the best show for kids to watch(although there are a lot of worse shows that we ban in our house)BUT the kids love him.Hannah seriously is not interested in tv much. She prefers to watch her disney movies over and over. This is one of the only shows that she will watch and she laughs her head off every time.I even find myself laughing along with it often.Logan thinks he is pretty funny too and even wanted to be in on this picture.Notice he did not want to stand right next to him though!
spongebob.jpg

We had been given a coupon at GKTW for one free photo so we chose this one.For some reason we got our wires crossed and walked out without it.Paul thought we had to pick it up later at exit somewhere.Later in the day I got nervous about not knowing where to pick it up and went back to ask.The CM was like There you are, you forgot your picture!Fortunately he saved it for us.:) I told Paul that we should try to see if Shrek was out yet and we went right over to the area.SCORE! Shrek, Fiona and Donkey were out. They took Hannah right to the front of the line.Donkey was hilarious.I swear he sounded just like Eddie Murphy from the movie. He was saying some really funny stuff and calling Hannah "Hannah Banana" and "Hannah Montana".
shrek.jpg

After this it was lunch time and we didn't and to spend a long time looking for somewhere to eat.Fortunately we found the Monsters Cafe and ducked into the cool air conditioning. It was modeled aftet the old time movie monsters like the mummy and the creature from the black lagoon. The kids had no clue what they were looking at but Paul and I found it amusing.

Before I forget I want to point out that Hannah was wearing the adorable mickey print shirt made by Molly (Daisylou). Logan had on disney fab five pirate outfit made by Anna(disneymommyof2)We LOVE both outfits. The pirate outfit is one of Logan's favorites and he wears it OFTEN now that we are home.
After lunch we decided we better head over to Islands of Adventure since we wanted to make it back in time for dinner at GKTW.It was "Christmas" at the village that evening and we wanted to spend a little time there.
To be continued:

Looks like a fun trip so far!! I've been reading along but don't get much time to post sometimes! But I had to tell you how handsome logan looks! I am SO GLAD that he likes his outfit- You don't know the angst I had that he would hate it!! (or that it wouldn't fit) Lucas was reading along with me today and recognized the outfit and asked his name. Then said "he's my friend too!"
We haven't been to universal for a long time, I think Islands of adventure was new last time!
It is quite a long haul to the actual entrance! Thank Goodness for those moving sidewalks!!
I don't care for spongebob much either but the kids Love to watch it when they can! Although I do have to admit I usually laugh when I do watch it-

Aw, Hannah looks beautiful in that shirt! I love seeing the pictures. I was a little afraid it wouldn't fit well. I'm so excited she wore it during the trip (and at Universal too, we love those parks). I have really enjoyed reading your trip report. You have a beautiful family!
