if some days seem to be less crowded than others? We'll be in DW for a week this coming Aug 24-31 and plan to spend a day at Typhoon Lagoon...the last DW park we've not yet explored!! We can go any day of the week, but not sure if weekends are less crowded than weekdays? Or this time of year will it just be at capacity every day?? We've left a couple days unplanned so that in the event of rain we can be flexible.

TIA for any help, and any other TL tips!!

TL is never at capacity. Weekends are more crowded, especially between 11:00 and 2:00. If you get there 10 minutes before opening, you will be able to get your choice of seating areas and then do all the major attractions before 11:00. That would mean Misadventure falls, all 3 crush and gush, Kowabunga, at least 1 ride on storm slides, and gangplank falls. You can then brave the wave pool and enjoy the lazy river while others wait in lines.

Have fun!

Yes, exactly. Everything posted above is spot on, and exactly how we tackle the park too.

We went the second and third week of August last year and did typhoon lagoon on a Wednesday, Friday and Tuesday. Tuesday was a bit more crowded then the Wednesday and Friday but not anywhere near capacity. The last week in august will probably be even less crowded. All three days we had no trouble finding free seats in the shade and we did all the rides multiple times!

This is what we do too. We leave after lunch when we've done everything and it's gotten crowded.

Speaking of Typhoon Lagoon... We rented a beachcomber shack for the first time. I've received conflicting information on if we can go in a little early before park opens to get our shack and wait there till park opens. When I booked the reservation; they didn't say anything about going early though. Can anybody share their experiences? Thanks.

Chair spots are always abundant, and TL provides a wonderful experience throughout the summer.

That's my wooder park of choice. Things seem to start up at about 1-2, in terms of high crowds. I think the massive wave pool helps soak up the crowds (pun intended).
