When are Xmas lites turned on? Xmas celebrations begin?

We will be going to WDW from 11/9 - 11/21. I've been there right after Halloween when they were starting to decorate for the Christmas holidays and I've been there early December when the festivities were in full swing. Is there any chance that everything will be lit up for the holidays before Thanksgiving or is that the kick-off week? Thanks!

I was kind of wondering the same thing except when is the first day of the Osbourne lights this year? We have always gone during New Years and the lights are still up but this year we are going for Thanksgiving. If any one knows or can remember from last year I would appreciate it!!

Although they begin decorating early the lights are not turned on until after Thanksgiving. Which this year will be November 28th.

I was there for the AP preview of the Osborne lights in 2002, the weekend before Thanksgiving. I think the lights were supposed to be open to the Public a couple days after Thanksgiving, but they had a "soft opening" Thanksgiving eve, I'm pretty sure I heard someone say. So they opened a few days before they were published to open, I think it was right on Thanksgiving.
