What's the little dot next to my public profile name?

And why is mine red? Am I a marked man? I notice I've been visited by the mysterious and seemingly feared "boardtracker." Maybe I did something wrong? Hopefully I'm not worsening my situation by asking...

If it's what I'm thinking it is because it signify's that you were on line at the time, which would make sense because otherwise you wouldn't be able to see it. To check for sure, sign in as a guest and when you find you name in a post, click on it and it will take you to your profile. At that point it should be blue. The fact that it was red instead of green may mean that you haven't had enough posts yet to qualify for full privileges. Since you have 332 posts it doesn't seem like that is the case.

Thanks--that's a relief. I accidentally made a post that broke a DIS rule and corrected it myself after I discovered my mistake. I've been nervous ever since--LOL! Then the Boardtracker guy starts lurking around--it just sounds very ominous--"Boardtracker." Like someone you see peeping around a tree near the playground and it just creeps you out!

I have checked on and offline user profiles and I see no red dot. Only off or clear for off line and green for on.

Are you talking about the dot next to the report post link in the lower left of every post? I thought grey meant offline, green meant online, and red meant you are online but invisible to others (who would see grey). Red is an option you can set in your profile.
